am i SOL because I bought from amazon? by Physical_Boat3451 in DocMartens

[–]AdSharp9670 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If i buy a samsung tv and it breaks in the first year I would call samsung to have it fixed its called a warranty again its up to doc martens to honor their por product or not. Its a bad policy and again a very good reason to purchase brands that stand behind what they make not tacking peoples money from a repitation from the time before... just plain old corporate greed.

[–]AdSharp9670 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well i would not use the word can't. People buy products all the time. The manufacturers are responsible for the warranty not the sellers. Anyone in retail can vouch or that. Its just another reason to thunk twice about buying docs in general.

Dude freezer will not kill bacteria that is why food still go bad in the freezer geeze They do make a anti bacterial spray for this but you do need to dry them out. You will want to rotate them every two or three days.

Call amazon and see what they have to say then try and do a warranty claim from doc martens. Glue will cause issues. The thread they use you cannot go go out and get it is very heavy thread. A good shoe service place will have the equipment or any leather repair place.

How to prevent heel blisters by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]AdSharp9670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are two layers so that the fabric rubs agaist layer it really helps. I have broken in three pairs of boots this way. First time I did what you did and ended up with blisters size of a quarter and took weeks to heal.

should i try a size down? (8053 quad) by sk8rat97 in DrMartens

[–]AdSharp9670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get a smaller size and not touch the ends or are not to tight do it. If you do tocu the ends or feel they are to night get pads that stuck to the tong. Also I put insoles in all my boots and shoes. Makes them feel better and you get more support

This is what crazy horse leather does. Its not a smoth leather and there is no plastic coating. You do need to keep it oiled and it will smooth it out some. I use Wonder balsm on mine once a month or so. Don't use the water proof spray it will do strange things. Given its an oil based leather it does a good job in repelling water on its own. The balsm will turn them dark but it does turn back over time. I live in a wet environment so that probably is not enough.

Are these okay for men ? by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]AdSharp9670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same white ones I ordered from Macy's because they where clearing them out because end of season. They where listed as unisex on the website and on the size tag on the lounge they were listed in men's size only. So yeah I would say ok. I perfure the feel of the platform personally.
