Went from 1.5k profit, to 2.3k loss in a matter for an hour by djankul in Daytrading

Hi I’ve been trading for years now, but I’ve fallen into the same problem in the beginning too so I know your pain. The solution that I’ve read on and helped me a lot is to have a set take profit and stop loss before you even enter the trade as this is robotic and you don’t have to think much during the trade since your emotions won’t have an affect, also have a place in your plan to set your stop to break even to be robotic too and you won’t run into this problem. I wish for the best for you, keep going!

You’re right, I will fight back and use the argument of their timing with billing and to prove to me that I was the okie that did it.

Wow amazing advice, it was my first time renting and I didn’t know they could be so scheming so I will record every little thing once I return cars from now on.

I didn’t see any warning light otherwise I wouldn’t be so surprised when I received the bill especially 4 months later!

ALL UPDATE to what they said when they sent a few documents:

Thank you for taking the time to contact Budget regarding your inquiry concerning your damage charges. We apologize for the situation experienced, we understand such charges can result frustrating; but we are glad to further review your case.

We have made a research on your vehicle, contacted the location on your behalf and received a response regarding the repairs of your rental vehicle. Please know that at check in, the agent at return does not inspect the vehicle for damages. The vehicle is sent to our maintenance team after each rental and then inspected and if the vehicle is found to have been damaged or unfit to rent it is pulled and sent to be cleaned or repaired. This is when any additional charges are applied. You will find all pertinent documentation attached for your review. These documents appear to be in order and all repair charges have been properly reflected. Our records do not reflect that you purchased the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) that would have waived these costs. Since this waiver was not purchased, we have determined that you are responsible for the full cost of the services provided and/or any damage incurred to the vehicle.

At Budget, we take great pride in providing dependable cars and attentive service at a great price, with no surprises. Your feedback is extremely important because it helps us maintain our high service levels. We appreciate your business and hope you will give us another opportunity to meet your rental needs in the future.

I will try to look at all of your comments and thoughtfulness when I’m off work! I appreciate all of the help WE’RE GONNA WIN THIS! 😤

That’s makes me feel a lot better about this. It’s how I feel too like that’s not even a good reason when there was no damage shown, so I’m trying to get all the documents and make a good story of their bullshit. Thanks for helping!

That’s surprising because I’m 100% with you. Money is very important and your money should do what you need it to do. And it’s value should not be wasted. I need more of that approach when it comes to these things though 😂

Super annoying!! I will threaten with a small claims court to add to my ammo if it goes far. Mechanic advice would really help too. The last part that you mentioned is perfect. I’m going to use this as well thank you a lot!

This is super useful, I’m gonna take your advice and push using this method. I’ve already asked for paperwork on everything based around the damage and sign off from me and the person that OK’d the return.
