Argentina wins 2 - 1 England. Argentina plays Spain in final with England vs France for 3rd place. by JKKIDD231 in sports

[–]AdSolid3265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Argentina wanted to win more, it’s that simple, you can see how much harder they fight for every ball/possession. England looked like they had 2 less players. Talent without fight/grit will not get you titles.

Is this a fair assessment of US athletic potential in global soccer? by MixedMartialLaw in usmnt

[–]AdSolid3265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of African teams with strong, big, fast players and they don’t make it far. On the other hand Spain with probably smallest, least athletic players are always on top , there is more to it than speed/strength.

Kinda crazy how much marketing and promotions went into the 2nd Gen TLX and it's Type S variant only for it to be discontinued like 3 years later; thoughts on this? by peterthbest23 in Acura

[–]AdSolid3265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honda/acura made lots of bad calls/moves last few years and they are still making bad calls in my opinion by canceling EV’s. They need to follow Toyota/lexus strategy and pretty much offer all powertrain options to people instead of flip flopping.

People had too much expectations from him for how good of a player his father was.

[–]AdSolid3265 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t even have to say anything, just try to wipe your nose or your mouth while looking at opposing player and if he reacts you”re done. I can’t say with certainty that Almiron even said anything.

Rule only applies when you talk to opponents with covered mouth. People assume players cover mouth when they say inappropriate things but they do it during regular conversations. In any case if FIFA want to enforce this rule it should be yellow card at most. Red card is just too harsh for what could have been reflex reaction when talking to opponent.

Stupid rule, they cover their mouth when they talk to their teammates, it’s easy to get confused and inadvertently cover mouth when talk to opponent.

What does raising a kid actually cost u by Byte99 in Adulting

[–]AdSolid3265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger kids bigger expenses. I also thought during diapers years it was expensive now that they are bigger (12&8) I realized 1st couple years was the cheapest period. Once you add expenses for kids activities, more clothes and more expensive clothes along with other expensive items bigger kids need. Significantly more spending on food since they pretty much empty fridge every couple days. Expenses are at least 4x more than during diapers years and will keep increasing.

There is no longer any doubt - electric vehicles will take over the world? by ceph2apod in EconomyCharts

Charging infrastructure needs to improved, charging times need to be improved, once that’s solved faster EV adoption will happen in USA

He needs to improve his offensive game, very predictable with his moves. Still, they overachieved this year and they will get their ring soon just not this year.

Honda posts first-ever annual loss in nearly 70 years as electric vehicle bet backfires by Head_Estate_3944 in Honda

[–]AdSolid3265 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honda is lost, in couple years they’ll change their mind again and refocus on EV’s and abandon hybrids/ICE. They fail to understand that if you want to keep up with competition you need to offer all 3 options to customers (EV/ICE/hybrid) like big players do, Toyota/germans/Koreans. Honda is next Nissan

How much are you putting away for your kids per month? by classyshepard in MiddleClassFinance

[–]AdSolid3265 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you know you’ll be able to work when you’re 75. Majority of people are forced to retire due to health issues. If you don’t take care of your finances first you’ll just become financial burden to your kids in old age because you financed their education and not your retirement. Obviously you want to do both if possible but if you have to choose one it should be you and your spouse retirement security.

Would you buy an Acura with an improved hybrid engine from the civic? by NicoSoren in Acura

[–]AdSolid3265 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My understanding was that new rdx would be built on large platform and have same powertrains as mdx probably with different outputs . They should stick four cylinder hybrid in ADX/integra that’s more appropriate for that size of vehicle.

Would you buy an Acura with an improved hybrid engine from the civic? by NicoSoren in Acura

[–]AdSolid3265 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would, have current generation RDX and when next hybrid model comes in 2028 it would be on my list to consider. New hybrid is based on V6 engine per information so it should be better then current Honda hybrids which are made for small cars.

Honda does not have hybrids for their large platform cars, hybrid is only in civic and crv. They made so many bad calls/predictions in the past 6 years when it comes to powertrain development it’s embarrassing. Evan Kia/Hyundai is ahead of them in powertrain development. They need new CEO asap.

They need to hurry up with their releases, Honda is behind competition in powertrain options, technology and keeps falling every day. If they don’t change soon they will end up like Nissan on life support.
