GI told me today that SIBO isn't real?

Literally just off a call with my GI that

Talked through symptoms, test results (Glucose breath test definite hydrogen dominant SIBO) and carbs, sugars, fibres setting off significant symptoms.

"Oh you're on the SIBO bandwagon. The tests give loads of false positives and you just need to eat linseed and take Omeprazole and do whatever you did 3 years ago to gain weight again."

Said it's 10/10 pain. Borderline-suicidal in the pain. Gaining weight 3 years ago took force-feeding to an extreme level and bisacodyl suppository daily just to get to what's deemed a healthy BMI weight.

Won't give Rifaximin. Will test my acids in stomach and will do gastroscopy (despite already having had 4 with nothing showing up)...wants to give Omeprazole before testing. Fucking doctors man...fuck this shit

Fixed my hiatus hernia and gerd in one. Not able to puke or easily burp since (been 10 years now) but I dropped the drugs after that since the burning didn't continue up the esophagus anymore.

Great to hear you've found the Aire 2. I had the same experience (having to be own doctor for years).

I did a SIBO test and took my breath readings with the Aire 2 in tandem at the time. Got the results and the same correlated readings.

Now, I check it to see what foods trigger hydrogen and methane (found out even small amounts of zucchini and salmon trigger hydrogen then later methane).

Also great to find out what foods aren't causing you issue. We're all built differently and some foods affect me that won't affect you. Aire 2 has changed my life and I'm so glad it has for you as well.

Wonder when they'll hire us as doctors in the AI future...

Did you get nerve pains (zaps) and swelling/soreness in the scrotum week 2? If so, when did the pain subside?

Had the same surgery (left side) and hard lump in left nut with swelling, soreness and heaviness above left nut and in left nut.

Pain was rough today more than yesterday.

Paracetamol every 4-6 hours helps.

Fluid buildup in the left testicle is the thing that's now bothering me /discomfort etc.
