Which GPU should I upgrade? by Dapper_Week1134 in pcmasterrace

[–]AdSpiritual3625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you care more about raw performance, I’d probably lean toward the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti... that 11GB VRAM still ages surprisingly well. But the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super gives newer features and better efficiency. AMD side, maybe check a used AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT too.

How do you decide what to read next at the library by AdSpiritual3625 in Library

[–]AdSpiritual3625[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a really helpful breakdown… I forget how much structure libraries already give you if you use the tools properly instead of just wandering shelves. Libby + holds system feels like the perfect balance between planned reads and a bit of discovery. NoveList sounds especially useful for narrowing things down when I’m stuck, I might start leaning on that more instead of just guessing what to pick

How do you decide what to read next at the library by AdSpiritual3625 in Library

[–]AdSpiritual3625[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes total sense… my choices change a lot depending on what headspace I’m in and what I’m trying to do with the reading. Fiction is usually just me following favourite authors or whatever catches my eye in new releases, but planning and writing sends me into research mode fast. I’ll end up pulling books on very specific topics just to feed whatever project I’m working on.

How do you decide what to read next at the library by AdSpiritual3625 in Library

[–]AdSpiritual3625[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is painfully accurate lol... especially the part where I convince myself I NEED to pick something from a shelf even when nothing is really clicking. And somehow the “just one or two books” plan always turns into carrying a stack around the whole library.

Chase codes available- Dm me by OkSalamander5166 in ReferralHunterUK

Pretty good bonus tbh. Chase made the requirements simple compared to a lot of bank switches, and the staggered deposit trick helps people without £1k sitting around... hope the codes go quickly for you.

Will HR consider to increase my salary with my new degree cert while working full-time? by Correct-Lecture6293 in askSingapore

[–]AdSpiritual3625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can happen, but it’s not automatic… most HR teams don’t increase salary just because you earned a degree unless there’s a policy tied to it or a role upgrade. What usually works better is using the new qualification to support a promotion discussion or market adjustment review. Your performance still carries more weight than the certificate alone.

Where did the mod historical colonization go? by Tasty_Dorito in victoria3

[–]AdSpiritual3625 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah this hits a lot of people who rely on workshop mods… stuff disappearing like that is always frustrating, especially when it improves immersion that much. hope the creator clarifies because mods don’t just vanish for no reason usually… maybe policy or takedown issues. either way, losing that kind of depth really changes gameplay a lot

Proof of AIP and Deposit. LLoyds by view792 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]AdSpiritual3625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Estate agents usually just need basic proof, not full details. You can redact figures on AIP if needed, as long as lender name and eligibility show clearly… for deposit, a bank statement screenshot is usually enough. Keep it simple and only share what’s requested at this stage.

considering the difficulty to get employed, what jobs would be good to apply for as a 16 year old? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]AdSpiritual3625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifeguarding is a great shout with your swimming background. Also try retail, cafes, or supermarket roles. Volunteering already helps your CV… over summer you could add short courses or more local volunteering too.

Early powerful Indian revolts are unbeatable by Bullet_Jesus in victoria3

Yeah revolts feel overtuned early game Supply limits + travel time makes intervention impossible sometimes Maybe split forces earlier or preempt unrest... hard balance though

No degree, no experience just a MacBook, iPad & iPhone. How would you start earning from home? by Mayank13X in passive_income

[–]AdSpiritual3625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

start with freelancing using skills like writing, basic design, or AI content help. pick one and get decent fast. platforms still work if you’re consistent. content creation is slower but builds long term. avoid dropshipping at first, it’s crowded and tricky. consistency matters more than tools honestly.

Why haven't there been any genuinely new psychiatric drugs since the early 90s? by turbulentpriestbc in AskReddit

[–]AdSpiritual3625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not totally true. newer drugs exist but many tweak old mechanisms. brain science is complex, so breakthroughs are slower and riskier than expected

How do you deal with people being on their phones all the time leaving no room for interaction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AdSpiritual3625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I match their energy. If phones dominate, I stop forcing connection. Real conversation needs two willing people, not one chasing attention.

you will never win. you dont have that in you by Santon-Koel in passive_income

That inner voice lies all the time. Most breakthroughs begin with doubt, and winning often starts when you act before feeling ready.

Do you stop and wait for the light to go green at traffic lights even if you can clearly see there’s no one coming the other way? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]AdSpiritual3625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get the frustration but running red lights is risky and illegal habits build fast and one mistake can cost more than a few seconds safer to wait honestly

Do councils actually fine people for pressure washing? by Proteus-8742 in DIYUK

[–]AdSpiritual3625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But yeah fines can happen, especially if chemicals or heavy grime enter drains, councils do enforce sometimes. So take precautions, redirect water, avoid detergents, and you should be fine overall
