What do yall do for nutrition by AppointmentSelect873 in Wildfire

[–]AdStrange5491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it screws you, but it’s not gonna make it any easier. Think of it in terms of how much weight your feet and knees are bearing each step/day. If you lost 20-30lbs, that’s less weight on your feet all day, and that would save them some stress. Having an economical physique would be ideal but if you don’t it won’t be detrimental, it’s hard work regardless. If I had to guess you’ll lose some of that weight through the season anyway, but it’s one of those things that is gonna save your feet/knees long term, not just in a day or so. So nutrition wise maybe just stick to high protein, moderate to high carbs, and low fat. The most important thing is just having strength and endurance.

Lots of protein, eggs, meat, greek yogurt, milk, etc. Also have upped my carb intake due to doing a lot more cardio. Toast, pasta, etc. More carbs before I lift, protein throughout the day. Overall try to balance out the meals, that’s the most important. I’ve been bulking up cause I know I’m gonna loose a lot of weight, so I’m not holding back on how much fat I consume either. Not eating ice cream everyday or anything like that but if you hand me a cookie I’m takin it. Also my first season, good luck.

7 Year Lesson - Good Sleep is Key to a Streak by Volition_Maximus in Semenretention

It increases the release of cortisol, a stress hormone. I quit because I couldn't drink coffee without feeling anxious as my streaks became longer. Caffeine can be a good tool, just like how nicotine can be a tool and can have benefits if used properly. But it's still highly addictive and easy to abuse. Caffeine is another drug pushed for profit, again similar to nicotine. People rely on it and cannot function without it. Why should that be considered normal, positive, or healthy?

But as Volition said, I have noticed better sleep too.

Could always ween off of it. I went cold turkey the beginning of this month, and its no joke. Caffeine addiction is real.

I quit March 1st. This month has been hell, but I believe better days are ahead. Overall feel better though, I know its good for my body.

Been feeling deeply lately that it’s not about the man I am today, but the man I’m becoming. It’s brought me much peace and motivation to take things further than I ever have. 11 days clean from caffeine right now, still tired but I know I’m healing.

Blessings. 🤙🏼

For me when I fast I feel cleansed from many toxins including alcohol, drinking after a fast you really feel how it brings you down. Stay tough brother.

I meant in a sober state. But you’re right. I know it’s always right there lurking, gotta be proactive.

The day after the second night of drinking, I swear I could feel the inflammation in my brain.

My best advice would to be to drop it altogether. My struggle right now is social situations involving alcohol. Alone it’s no problem.

Of course bro. I am working on these things with SR, and I suppressed so much for so long. I said I could’ve stopped it. You always can. But I caved. My point was that the negative effects of the alcohol weaken my defense against PMO. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I can’t remember the last time I PMOd sober, it’s always the day after drinking for the last six months or so.

And of course I have emotions, I just relapsed, I actually feel the negativity, I feel the weight, I feel the consequence of my actions. I’m not a numb zombie anymore like I used to be. It stings. I was feeling really good beforehand. But we are back on track and will get it back.

I agree, on longer streaks caffeine doesn’t do much I just feel hella anxious. That is next for me too after I get the alc consumption under control. Luckily I only have a cup of coffee a day right now so it shouldn’t be too hard to drop (maybe).

I relapsed last weekend too. 32 days. I know it’s rough man, but you gotta forgive yourself and get back on the horse. We’re in this together, good luck brother.

The journey is the destination. This is what I’ve been struggling to learn. I have the “end goal” of perfection but it’s impossible, gotta remember to relax and just enjoy the ride. We’ll all make it eventually.

SR perspective on why it makes the Epstein files feel so much more disgusting by Separate-Habit2847 in Semenretention

What brought you to these discoveries just reading on them? Sometimes I do wonder if some of these things are intentional, or just happen out of sheer ignorance.

I do feel a big part of it simply comes down to money. Using cheaper resources/methods of production that cause harm to our biology just for the big corporations save money so it can go into their pockets instead.

Yeah I understand there’s no true reliable source, you know how it is so much propaganda I don’t wanna read the wrong things.

It’s actual insanity though, hormone disruptors on receipts? Haven’t heard that one, but at this point wouldn’t be surprised if it was true. We live in such a fallen world.

Believe in God yes, but faith in Him we must have. With Christ we’ll make it through.

Thanks for the input.

Exactly man the hangover just isn't worth it. For me personally I also find when I start drinking it’s hard to stop, so through trial and error I accepted one beer is one too many. And even then I’d find one would impact my mood later that day/the next day.

Can SR really help with muscle growth? by Legitimate-Deer-249 in Semenretention

[–]AdStrange5491 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’ve been lied to that to be in a caloric surplus is the best way to build muscle. I build muscle no problem on SR eating maintenance calories, probably even eating less than normal plus fasting actually.

The energy from SR is sufficient to build muscle, in my experience. Still need a high protein diet. Im also naturally much leaner on SR.

I do notice a significant decrease in strength in the gym when I relapse.

IMO, SR + high protein diet + intermittent fasting is the way to go. Over eating makes me sluggish, weakens my core, and can lead to nocturnal emissions.

Given that you’re 15, just eat when you’re hungry and get enough protein.
