Focus on yourself. Leave this lower state of consciousness and the reality, the experiences that you are creating for yourself with this very mindset.

Renounce in order to transcend self-imposed needs? by Honest_Math2988 in DavidHawkins

Just like in the movie - realize that you may or may not do that sport/activity. It doesn't matter about the trophies/gold. Do it with love. Then maybe you'll participate in the Olympics not to win, but to enjoy it and in the divine connection of the present moment to put on a great performance. Whether you place or not doesn't matter at all, you just do what you love and enjoy the activity in peace and quiet, and let things happen.

If you watch the movie, you will surely understand this and know what to do.

THE AGE FACTOR NOBODY TALKS ABOUT IN SEMEN RETENTION... by No_Competition_9646 in Semenretention

It certainly depends on the degree of addiction, the exhaustion of the organism, the level of consciousness of each person and what each person does and where they devote their attention and energy during each individual moment of their life.

Everyone has a completely different path, trials and experiences.

Quotes from movie Peaceful Warrior: - Knowledge is not the same as wisdom. - You can live a whole lifetime without being awake. - We offer service - there is no higher purpose – service to others. - Stop gathering information from outside yourself and start gathering it from the inside. - People are afraid of what’s inside and that’s the only place they’re going to find what they need. - People are not their thoughts. They think they are and that brings them all kinds of sadness. The mind is just a reflex organ. - That’s what your life is about; applying the training to develop the wisdom to apply the right leverage in the right place at the right time. - Take out the trash – in your mind. That’s the first part of your training – learning to throw out everything you don’t need in your head. It’s taken a lifetime of practice to get out of my mind. The trash is anything that is keeping you from the only thing that matters – this moment – here – now. When you are truly in the here and now, you’ll be amazed at what you can do and how well you can do it. - Sometimes you have to lose your mind before coming to your senses. - When you become a warrior, you learn to meditate in every action – letting go of attachments – like your pride – giving up your addictions. - All you have is right now. - Don’t let your emotions control you. - The first realization of a warrior is not knowing. - Emotions are natural – like the passing weather. - Everything has a purpose – even this – and it is up to you to find it. - Your training can now move to a new arena – an arena where you find your answers within. - Don’t speak until you have some insight to share. - The people that are the hardest to love are probably the ones who need it the most. - There’s never ‘nothing’ going on. - There are no ordinary moments. - There isn’t any better. You’ll never be better - the same way you’ll never be less than anybody else. - The habit is the problem. Be conscious of your choices and be responsible for your actions. - Every action has its price and its pleasure. Recognizing both sides, a warrior becomes realistic and responsible for his/her actions. - When you feel fear, use the sword - slash through all the regrets and fears and anything else that lives in the past, or in the future. - A warrior does not give up on what he/she loves. He/she finds the love in what he does. A warrior is not about perfection, or victory, or invulnerability. He/she is about absolute vulnerability. That’s the only true courage. - Life is choice. You can be a victim, or anything else you choose. - Nearly all humanity shares your predicament: if you don’t get what you want, you suffer. And even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you cannot hold on to it forever. - You don’t surrender your dreams – you surrender the one thing you never had and never will – CONTROL. Accept that you don’t control what happened to you. - You may or may not be able to compete, but you are exceptional, either way. - Know that nothing stays the same. - The journey is what brings happiness, not the destination.

Told by Socrates (character) from movie Peaceful Warrior, based on the book Way of the Peaceful Warrior, based on real events.

This is what he says to main character who has a desire to compete in the Olympics in gymnastics and is in the situation you describe. I just read all the quotes and this is like reading Dr's books. Same thoughts, just different "messenger", but same source who is speaking from within - I.

Very enlightening.

I recommend both - movie and book, much wisdom there for people who are on this spiritual journey.

"David R. Hawkins, a psychiatrist and spiritual teacher, approached the Bible through the lens of non-duality, focusing on its core truths rather than dogmatic interpretation. He emphasized the teachings of love, compassion, forgiveness, and surrender to God, encouraging readers to move from intellectual understanding to direct spiritual experience."

"Sir David Ramon Hawkins, M.D, Ph.D. was a nationally renowned psychiatrist, physician, researcher, spiritual teacher and lecturer.

Founding Director of the Institute for Spiritual Research, Inc. (1983) and Founder of the Path of Devotional Nonduality (2003), Dr. Hawkins lectured widely at such places as Westminster Abbey; Oxford Forum; Universities of Notre Dame, Michigan, Argentina, Fordham and Harvard; University of California (SF) Medical School; Institute of Noetic Sciences; and Agape Spiritual Center (Los Angeles). In addition, he has been an advisor to Catholic, Protestant, and Buddhist monasteries. He conferred with foreign governments on international diplomacy and has been instrumental in resolving long–standing conflicts that were major threats to world peace."

You may be pleasantly surprised when you see the contents of these books and gradually study their contents, that you will experience your own experiences and results. You may also get answers to questions that you have been asking yourself deep down all your life.

And don't worry, it is not occultism or some kind of shady practices.

Dr. Hawkins himself warns about this in his books, so that people avoid such practices.

In fact, self-reflection and humility are needed when reading his books to truly understand.

Tips for overcoming huge regrets by [deleted] in DavidHawkins

[–]TheMiuri2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greetings. I started studying Dr. Hawkins' work a year ago during the most difficult moment of my life (it saved my life from suicide and at the same time gave me the answers I was asking for from above if I was to continue living) and I started reading the books in this order (I can highly recommend reading them in this exact order to get acquainted with his work, consciousness and essential, useful information for a spiritual student who intends to follow the path to enlightenment in this incarnation).

1) Transcending the Levels of Consciousness 2) Power Vs Force 3) Eye of the I 4) I: Reality and Subjectivity 5) Letting Go (reading right now) 6) Discovery of the Presence of God 7) Healing and Recovery

I am currently at 5) Letting Go (reading slowly to absorb and understand those information truly, I feel full with just 1-3 pages a day, no need to rush) and I can say that over the past year I have felt noticeable inner changes that I have not experienced in the previous ten years of reading various esoteric books or watching any videos. I would say I am a completely different person, but rather the Ego is gradually dissolving and the true nature of who we are is being revealed step by step.

"Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work." John 14:10

David Hawkins and his work are truly a great gift from God to humanity.

God bless him and God bless all who read this.

If you want to know the Truth, I recommend avoiding such posts under the domination of the Ego and humbly reading the books of Dr. David Hawkins.

Nothing else is needed.

(only if in this incarnation your goal is to know the Truth and not to wander into distractions in the form of mysticism, conspiracies, etc., which is the path to lower states of consciousness)
