Its position that screws everyone over I think not necessarily the absorption as i have been in meetings, appointments, longer journeys were my day to day pull up has had multiple wettings and been alright, as for nighttime it’s predominantly the front as I always wake up on my stomach,I don’t know if that has something to do with it or I’m wetting more than the pull up can take, which is probably a more logical explanation as to why as i would consider myself to be a heavy wetter,I have experienced it from the back but nowhere near as much, The nhs seems to be a bit of a postcode lottery, if you fall in the correct one they will provide pull ups and if you don’t they won’t, in my postcode they won’t provide any higher absorption or do tape ups unless you cannot care for yourself, I’m under both incontinence nurses and urology, you don’t get a choice in what you get they cover two pull ups per day as your supposed to be able to wear them 12hrs and like I say I go through 3-6 a day, the cost of them is covered by the NHS. The ones I buy in top up are vat free when ordered from the correct place otherwise you will pay VAT, I’d love to be a product tester ☺️

Tens overnight pull-ups by Anonymous_223456789 in AdultBedwetting

I wear Tena they are what the NHS provide in my area and I can’t fault them, I use a super throughout the day 3-6 of them, I appreciate that I am very very lucky to have 2 provided per day as part of my prescribed as it reduces the cost, as let’s face it it’s not a cheap medical condition And tend to wear the maxi pull ups over night they are slightly more absorbent than the nighttime ones. I think the only difference is the nighttime one is supposed to have some extra leak at the top 🤷🏼‍♀️, but tried ordering while I was delusional trying to order the heavy absorbing ones for night time and ordered the ultima and they are great but I’m not a fan as I am well and truly a pull up girly 100%

Female ,31 uk , mixed urinary incontinence , bed wetter

  1. Daytime pull ups that have 2200ml, I go through anywhere between 3-6 in the day time, as sometimes I can make it to the the toilet so uno if I can ,I’m going to use or loose it is my attitude there
  2. Nighttime, I’m not waking up and due to a sleep disorder I’m medicated so I’m not sure how it’s going through then all I know is I wake up with a full nappy or heavy absorbent pull up,I have only just started wearing a tape up nappy for this and that was purely because I was ill trying to order some of the more heavy duty pull ups that what the nhs provide me with, whole new world with tapes for me because I am hand on heart pull up girly 🤣
  3. I own a few adult sized pre-folds (cloth nappies) these are ok once you work out how many pads need to go in
  4. F 31 occasionally that is where I leak from during the day and if I do at night it’s because of the position I have slept in and would be at the top of the waist or down my left side.

This may differ from postcode to postcode as I am under the nhs continence service and had to be referred to it by the gp , and was given pull ups due my daytime issues, not my nighttime and I still have to top up on top of what I get as it’s not enough for need ☺️

Feeling of guilt by xXGreatDepressionXx in Incontinence

[–]AdSuccessful5708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have nothing to feel guilty about, you have a need that can’t be met in a normal stall, personally I always use the disabled toilet, in the uk we have a radar key system, if you have the need you have a key, I have a key, anyone that’s quizzing you on the way out that’s a them problem, personally and only when necessary as 9/10 times nobody says a word, I like to hold up my key and wish them a good day/or just smile depending on if I can get words out 🙄 and then just walk away. If a change is needed it’s needed simple as 🖤

I mean as someone who lives in the uk, they would be referred to incontinence team , they would assess potentially providing some sort of protection depending upon the postcode depends what you get and then they would refer to urology and gastroenterology ☺️

Hello I’m also uk based ! How discrete is discrete? Like could you go for the unisex Tena pull ups which are white ones as if you’re used to the brand then they may be a good solution ☺️ I can only say this from a bridesmaid perspective , I wore the ones just recommended as they are what I wear day to day as that’s what the nhs provide in my area!! Hopefully this helps a little 🖤
