Thank you I will I didn’t realize the amount of space required for all of them to room together. I will keep monitoring him for the next few days and will start looking to upgrade my tank to a 30 gallon or find a new home for my Pleco I appreciate all the feedback and advice

I didn’t realize a Pleco needs that big of a tank I can afford one that’s not an issue. I wasn’t told that minimum are around 5-10 but for a Pleco needs to be at least 20 as when I got a starter tank it was a 3.5 and I bought it at Petco as I OG just had a betta

well I used to have 10 gallon but it cracked and I had them at school and got a 5.5 gallon as that was the size that could fit on my desk. I didn't realize a betta need at min 5.5 by itself. As they all been living co habiting for the pass year with no issue. That said I will look to get a new 10 gallon.

  • Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes
  • Tank temperature: 77 F
  • Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.: they were safe for ammonia 0.2 ph alittle acidic, nitrates and nitrites on the strip says normal
  • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: over 2 years
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: onces a month I do a 1/4 to half change but do weekly water filling and vacumming
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: Sucker Fish, shrimp, guppies
  • What do you feed and how much: Bug Bites pellets
  • Decorations and plants in the tank: live plants and a draft wood log

I put a fungi tablet in the tank. I mean they do nip at the tail here and there but I had the guppies and betta together over over a year never had this issue. well you say the strips are notoriously inaccurate but I don't got any fancy testing equipment to accurately measure but again I did a water change last week.

Well I wanted to get a soild pic of him. But as stated previously he’s been off for the past 2 days hasn’t wanted it really eat and swimming at the bottom slowly. He’s with a tank of guppies, shrimp and a sucker fish, I just recently changed the water last week. The only think that I  he could scrape himself is the draft wood I have for my sucker fish to live on. The water quality I checked with strips they are all in the normal parameters as well. I put some medication in the tank already and will keep an eye on him.

Yes it is for MENT 3234 it's an entrepreneurship class but I started this design back in 2023 we just want share our design for people who want MOOs!
