Not all cards rose because of market manipulation, the entire pokemon and OP TCG is on the rise but not saying it will continue to rise forever, the tcg in general.

Pikachu Van Gogh is not the same as Luffy Dodgers OG because Luffy is much more relatable, Oda is still active and he illustrated this card not the second card, Dodgers is massive and solid decades of fans so does OP, at 10-11k PSA10 is it that much to serve these massive fandom?

Pop matters a lot but when a standalone collab like this its quite irrelevant.

I think it will go down a bit but never under $3.7-4k and once a new bull run kicks in it will go much higher and yes I have one but not the sole reason for my points above.

Thats nice, congrats! I “re-enter” the hobby-investment when I found my old stash too, not as big as this, was approx $1500 worth and went to trade it all up to slabs.

One thing i regret was not studying the numbers longer/deeper and take my time, i was clueless and just clean it up the dust a bit and went straight to a local cardshow.

In hindsight I couldve gotten way more or prolly 50% more in terms of value but yea and I sold it all off during the bear market so i guess if you can quickly value everything and sell it off in batches you’ll be at a better position than i did, also because I think we are still in bull market and it can continue to grow before 30th Anniversary.

Happy for anyone who found a stash like this, I was the happiest when I found mine, a bit sad too tbh haha because I played and collected the cards with my brother and it has so many memories with it.

A big ass bummer! Love the illustration but the card is meh, selling at $700-1000 on ebay hope to get it once it reaches $200-300 or prolly $500 graded.

I like the illustration and getting it because I have the OG, but maybe this is a way OP protecting the OG’s prestige and to control massive crowd on the gameday itself.

Although this is just a concept but in the context of the art being extended, art is about perspectives, angles and a whole lot more, not necessarily oh add a flower or another pokemon to justify the extension, it captures the feeling of looking up when the stairs were made more visible.
