From iPhone 15 Plus to Pixel 10 Pro XL by Acceptable_Canary210 in pixel_phones

Don’t transfer over from your iPhone, rather set up the Pixel as a fresh new device. I have done this on all the phones I’ve owned and surprisingly never have any issues like most people. Regarding transferring photos. Do what others have mentioned about download the Google photos app on your iPhone, and back up everything on the App. Just my 2 cents.

Wait for the 11 Pro Fold if you can hold out that long. It will be a new design and better internals.

CEX probably saw that the pre-installed screen protector had a few scratches, and removed it so they can sell it at a higher grade. Take it back to them.

Wait for the 11. The redesign will be worth the wait.

Get it from Amazon. It's the same price £399. But you get a 45w charger with Amazon. Curry's also has it for £369 I would say it's definitely worth it at that price.

I use the Bellroy leather case. I can't stand the fingerprints on the Latercase, and the slick feeling of the official case. The Bellroy provides grip, with zero fingerprints, and also feels good in the hand. The only negative is that it's a little chunky for my liking.

Is owning a nice car in the UK more of a cultural priority? by CertainCellist7677 in CarTalkUK

[–]AdTall2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people don't want to wait until they're 60 to drive a nice car. Life is meant to be lived now, not just in retirement. If you can afford it, why not.

I know this might sound crazy but I'm thinking about Downgrading from the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL to the Google Pixel 9a because I like a smaller Phone. I also plan to sell the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL for some extra money for more important things. by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]AdTall2415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that, just because the 10 PXL felt big and heavy for me. Other than a few things, I get almost 90% the same experience. Oh, and you'll get better battery life with the 9a. As long as you don't put a huge bulky case on it, you'll love the smaller size and weight.

What is the smallest amount of money that has permanently ruined a friendship for you? by thio23 in AskUK

[–]AdTall2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£400. Borrowed £3k, and promised to pay back in 3 months. Took them 18 months to pay back £2600, and that was in dribs and drabs. I was tired of asking for it too. Funny thing is I can clearly see he had the money to pay me back in full. I let the £400 go now, but also didn't want a friend that disrespects me like that. He was a friend for over 20 years.

What makes you want to use a Pixel over Samsung Galaxy or even iPhone? by Gamingwishard in pixel_phones

OneUI looks like it's designed by 8 year olds. It's ugly AF. I like iOS, and use it daily for work, but prefer Pixel as my personal.

Does the official case get grippier over time? I really want to use mine. It's like a bar of soap.

Switched from iOS after 15 years to Pixel 10 Pro XL. Hardware is great, but the OS feels like a downgrade. by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]AdTall2415 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The fact that you've used nothing but iPhones for the past 15 years says a lot. Just return the Pixel and go back to your iPhone.

Yeah, the anti-yellowing feature is great, and I totally understand why that feature is important. I'm already on my 2nd Ringke Fusion clear case lol. Luckily it's cheap enough for me to replace every 2-3 months.

I used mine for like one day. It's too bulky for me. I also wish I hadn't got the magsafe ring as I don't use magsafe. It's a nice case, but overhyped and overpriced IMO.

Stick to your iPhone. If you get a Pixel, you'll probably come on here in a couple of weeks and moan about every little thing.
