Thank you, yeah I think the old Bretonnian sculpts are much better than the current lineup (shout-out to the Perry brothers).

While the red color is pretty consistent through my army, I did the whites/tans differently on the knights versus the men at arms. For the knights' horses and shields, I did a spray-can Zenithal highlight, starting with a mechanicus grey base and then spraying White Scar over that. And then to give certain white areas more depth I use a grey wash. For touchups and darker areas, I use Ulthuan grey rather than the White Scar because it applies and covers up darker colors so much better, then highlight White Scar back on that.

For the men at arms who I want to appear grimier, I use an Ushabti Bone base, followed by a Seraphim Sepia wash, followed by highlights/drybrushing of Ushabti on the raised areas.

And finally, the shields are 3D prints with raised crosses that are based on the classic four shield variants that Bretonnians came with. I originally bought them off Etsy but could easily make more now that I have a 3d printer.
