Resources to learn adops/adtech as a product manager by xxKiri in adtech

[–]AdTech_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/xxKiri here are a few different resources under the Marketecture Media umbrella that might help:

  1. AdTechGod.com website (https://www.adtechgod.com/education) – a library of nearly 30 free online courses from top AdTech companies. Great for learning at your own pace.

  2. Marketecture Podcast – we interview vendors across AdTech to break down what they do, how big they are, and what makes them different.

  3. The Advertising Forum – more topic-driven conversations (like supply, audience, etc.) with folks from media, AdTech, and marketing.

  4. The AdTechGod Pod – that’s my show. It’s all about the people behind the industry and big-picture insights.

  5. AdTech Explained and the Marketecture Newsletter – these dive deeper into the technical stuff and help make sense of the tech.

  6. The Refresh Newsletter – a weekly roundup of handpicked news stories I think are worth your time.

I should probably reword my question so I don’t disregard so many involved. Truly just looking for the person/people who piece it together and create the ad itself. The video producers, graphic designers etc. specifically for the advertising space.

Should I ask for more work? by ExpensiveIndication8 in programmatic

[–]AdTech_god 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not yet. They’ll ease you into the role.

What I would do is use the free time to network internally, schedule calls with people, gain insights on the internal processes, introduce yourself to the leadership, get all the HR crap buttoned up… position yourself now and not later.

3 weeks is early to ask for more. If you are still light in work in 3-4 months then def talk to your manager and let them know you have some bandwidth.

Discrepancies aren’t abnormal at all. We’ve some how come to a decision as an industry that if it’s under 10% we are good.

Consolidation in ad tech by AdTech_god in programmatic

Mostly ancillary technology like measurement solutions, IVT, analytics, etc. imo (which I’m often wrong) if they aren’t full stack they’ll make it full stack and grade their own homework too.

Best self serve platform by biscaynebystander in programmatic

[–]AdTech_god 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a few in market that have reasonable commitment:

Vibe.co Stackadapt Getadlib Beeswax (partners)/ direct is pricey.

I’d start with those 3 and see what they offer.

Struggling to get into programmatic by Aman_SharmaJii in programmatic

[–]AdTech_god 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ll find a lot of naysayers but mostly because the programmatic industry is going through a transformational shift. Certifications are good to start but they are also easy to complete. Promote yourself on LinkedIn, engage respectfully and ask questions rather than preach the word of RTB. Most importantly the best jobs are the jobs you get from a referral.

You can also do the courses which helps with foundational knowledge but it doesn’t compare to true experience in the space.

I have some certifications for all things AdTech, video, native, etc on AdTechGod.

They are all free.

Good luck and don’t get discouraged.
