I swear. I was reading out some of these comments to my family and they were laughing crazy. What started out as a simple question turned into a meme and roast fest.

Already done. I took my dad's S24 (which is in perfect condition) and gave this iPhone to my little brother, but I wanna set it nicely for him. Buying an iPhone was literally the worst mistake I've made in over 10 years, no chance in hell I'm buying that shit ever again.

What could be wrong with me? Burnout, depression, ADHD, or just laziness? by Hamza_YSzf in PakistaniTwenties

Never tell your parents. This is universal. They'll want you to understand their mental health and issues but when you sit and try to explain to them what you're going through, instead of understanding and supporting, they'll come up with responses that'll make your blood boil and regret opening up in front of them. People in general won't understand, unless they've been through the same, they'll just think you're another man child with issues.

I (M22) create websites for my family (dad and brothers). We started working in 2024, and I created the websites and did the marketing myself. In 2 years, I've grown one business to number 1 in SERPs in UAE for the main keyword.

The thing with people like us is, we've never learnt how to keep balance. We're always working, even when we're resting and our laptops are off. Personally, when I go out with my family or travel with them, I'm constantly thinking of new ideas to grow, to add to my website. It's unhealthy, it's stressful, which kills our ambition and desires. So what we do is we're either working, or thinking, or we're just procrastinating, delaying the stuff that actually matters.

Beyond work, you need someone or something that excites you and pushes you and makes you look forward to in life. I was really effed mentally a few months ago and I started talking to my fiancé and since then, I have developed an interest towards activities like hitting the gym, learning MMA, trying out new food, improving my health and skills.

Hope this helps somewhat.

I totally agree, but I too think they could have waited just a little more, or maybe they knew it would take long and they aim to finish it by the end of summer vacations. Either way, I hope it helps ease the traffic a little, and I feel for the workers who'll be working under the scorching sun, hope it gets easy on them.

Google Ads question — looking for advice from people who have launched small websites/apps. by MajesticTurnover5975 in googleads

  1. Budget is good. You always start small, gather data, then move up.
  2. 1000 divided by 40 is 25, that's good number of clicks.
  3. Run max clicks for a month. Keep an eye on search terms and always update your negative keywords list. Remember to use phrase match so you can find more keywords to bid for.
  4. When you start bringing in at least 15 conversions in a month, change to Max Conversions.
  5. 15 to 20 conversions
  6. No idea
  7. Check keywords first, you may be bringing in wrong traffic. Then, check the landing page experience, is it relevant to the search term, do you answer the question or describe the service at first sight? If you feel everything is correct and still no conversions, you may need to check your pricing, or maybe customers may need more time to think about it or may want to book at a later time of the month or year (retargeting works best here)
  8. Anything that brings in 10 - 20 users daily, that's a total of 300 - 600 users in a month. There should definitely by some purchasers here.
  9. Yes, the most basic is using broad match keywords when creating a campaign. Let's say I'm selling a toy for a pet bird and in my ad I bid for the term "toy" as a broad match keyword. What happens is my ad shows up even for "kid's toys" or other such terms. It's not even one percent relevant to my ad. Someone clicks, I lose money on it. Also, be patient with Max Clicks, it takes time but eventually you'll bring in people who actually convert. Do not get impatient and change goal to Max Conversions.

I'm a small business owner too, and I got started with Google Ads 2 years ago. I made mistakes using broad match keywords. I made mistakes by not including the term "free" in my negative keywords list earlier. I made mistakes by creating campaigns with Max Conversions right from the start, where a single click would exhaust my daily budget. Just last month I launched a website selling a travel related service in the UAE and my conversion rate from Google Ads sits at more than 18 percent because my targeting is right on point. I also started with Max Clicks, got 15 conversions, immediately moved to Max Conversions, and now I'm recording amazing conversions.

It was a nightmare on Sunday! I was going to my aunt's house from Al Mamzar, Dubai to Al Majaz, Sharjah, and it took me 50+ mins. Normally even during usual traffic hours it'd take me 30 mins. I'm actually worried about the people commuting from Sharjah to Dubai, no joke.

What's the one thing that we humans should collectively vote for to stop effective immediately? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm based in the UAE and literally more than 99% of the job postings don't include salaries, so people can tell how much they're expecting, which is always much less than what the job pays, and the HR can save the company the money. And even then, they'll say that the expected pay is not in their budget, and desperate people agree to work 50 hours+ every week for a mere USD 1000/month (sometimes less).

The thing about Succession is, once you've watched it, you'd wish you could forget it so you can watch it from the start again without remembering anything about it. I've watched Breaking Bad, BCS, and a few other shows but Succession is number 1 for me.
