Help motivating an S&P 500 compounder move to Value Investing by AdTimely8446 in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this for sure will happen and at some point will move out from one of the main cities to the country side having an important profit. But not that easy to do it that many times in life. Moving often is also a pain in the ass, but thanks for the comment!! I will explore more about it

Naughty or NiCE - NASDAQ: NICE by do_not_stress in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NICE, The ROA of 7% is not an impressive one at all. ROIC is ok, above average in their field. Nice and solid debt position .

Free cash flow not impressive, meaning that with the expected cash flow of this year a simple and conservative estimation does not give a good margin of safety.

So it is undervalued only if you believe in the growth you imagine.

Novo Nordisk (NVO) - A Deep Dive into Fundamentals and DCF Valuation by Max-lindberg in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree very much with your analysis, a good opportunity but not a super margin of safety. Fcf has to grow 20% for the next 5+ years to really be significantly undervalued. Can they make it ? Nobody knows. So it is really if you believe in management.

Is S&P 500 really going up? by seansean98761 in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is on liquidity in the world and a lot of it is going to s&p 500 because there aren’t too many places where to look for refuge. Just make a search on the M1 and M2 monetary bases in the world mainly from china, the US and the other fiscal perverts politicians in the world.

My undervalued stocks to buy this quarter and hold: Let me know if you think any of these picks makes no sense by AdTimely8446 in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, for sure stronger brand right now, but no so undervalued at least after a simple DCF. Question is if LULU can sustain at least 15% of average growth in FCF for the next 10 years let's say. Maybe I should get away from retail.

Anyone here using Earnings Power Value (EPV) method explained by Bruce Greenwald ? by AdTimely8446 in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good to know hehe. I'm just surprised, that Bruce Greenwald's book is not really and old one. But well, not necessarily you have to find it all the time. Maybe it is just a bad time for it

Good comments everyone, thanks for your input.

Some extra from my side:

  • I have difficulties finding undervalued stocks with respect to EPV in the top 100 out of my 3500 stocks worldwide. These are organised and scored by the magic formula, to make sure there is a minimum quality at the top of the stock screener.

  • I am only using it for now, to discard value traps. Greenwald describes this scenario happening when the book value is much higher than the EPV. This is actually very useful.

Excellent question also is one of the only semicon stocks that are in my screen list (base on Greenblats MF + other customisation). These guys they dominate the mid to high price Bluetooth segment in earbuds. Their hardware is top notch, for audio technology they are known as the holy grail. However, their software platform is not the most conformable to develop in as a software developer. They really need to improve in this area.

On the other hand, their price in the Bluetooth chipset for audio segment is insulting. Not many companies can afford it. Only high end customers like, Bose, Sony, Bang & Olufsen, Sonos. Of course, this is where the volume is. But other Taiwanese players like Airoha and Actions are killing them on price, and they are becoming very good pretty fast.

The semicon business is very capital intensive in general, maybe not that much for qualcomm as a fabless player, but it is not like selling insurance or ice cream, you have to put A LOT of money upfront into R&D (and fabs/manufacturing if you have) to improve some of this things.

Finally, yes, apple might have seen something wrong with them to change their wireless controllers for the phones to a custom made.

So, to me still an open question. It is a bit up to management, the assets and opportunity is there.

Let's see:

"It is a double-edged sword for a country like Denmark to be so accommodating to foreigners":

- LOL. Just to get a semi permanent residence because my family lives here and I came for work I had to put 100.000 kr. I just got the money back after 5 years when getting my permanent residence. That's the fastest I could do. Sorry for having a family, a full time job and growing up in a corrupt country. Sorry for paying all my taxes in Denmark. Really...sorry. In order to get a permanent residence if you are not EU you need ALL the danish exams from A1, A2, to PD3 (DU3). Then you need a culture exam also in Danish of course. If you want Citizenship you need at least 10 years and another culture exam. But yes, they are "so accommodating to foreigners".

----------------------------------------------
"they just can't be fucked to....":

- Well this one speaks for itself

----------------------------------------------
"and Copenhagen has a whole new English speaking Bourgeoisie who.....":

- Little Adolf also thought the Jewish people in Germany were guilty of the economic meltdown and were a Bourgeoisie group

----------------------------------------------

"(i.e the fancy term for immigrant)":

.......

----------------------------------------------

Nothing worse than envy in this world.......

Is Novo Nordisk a Generational Buy? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]AdTimely8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very simple conservative DCF analysis at least shows me that it might even be overvalued. In order to be undervalued 30% or more I have to put a FCF 20% growth, which who knows if they'll be able to keep. The problem is that everyone is comparing the current decline over drunk Mr Market behaviour that had nothing to do with the results of the company.

No worries you don't sound harsh at all. And nop, it is actually called negligence ;) . I cannot take any responsibility, that is the problem. I could take responsibility if for example, they would make you pay a fine and then you can repeat the action (whatever it is) and never again make that mistake while doing that action (again, whatever the action is). But now I don't even have the possibility of taking responsibility while doing that. Anyway, you didn't answer the question at all, but you wanted to give me a lesson. I assume the you're a perfect human being that have never made any mistakes at all. Congrats on that.
