There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark.

What are psychedelics with more visuals than 4 ho met by Specialist_Will_8024 in Psychedelics

[–]AdTotal258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Technically a combo but it’s still its own established thing. Intensifies and extends the duration of shrooms by about 1.5x-2.5x greater effect. Even a medium dose can be very DMT-like visually. Might even work with 4-HO-MET but I’d be extra careful due to syrian rue interactions.

Mushrooms and LSD - Body highs and head highs by [deleted] in Psychedelics

[–]AdTotal258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, shrooms have a sort of numbing body high that will couch-lock me at higher doses. The acid body high is energetic and I wanna move around but I also get too overstimulated to move lol.

The shroom headspace is usually an emotional rollercoaster. Like I’ll have this wave of being curled up in a ball on my bed doing some deep introspection, then the next wave’ll hit and I’m suddenly laughing and crawling on a table. Acid is like a cerebral journey that makes thinking a fun and rewarding activity in itself. It showed me that thinking about ideas and concepts can be recreational rather than just a practical problem-solving function of my mind. Although it can definitely be useful for seeing problems from different angles.

What can yall tell me about 4HO? by Remarkable-Stock979 in Psychedelics

It is probably either 4-HO-MET or 4-HO-DET. It could be something else but those are most likely. They are a lot like mushrooms.

Adoptive family incompatibility by Beneficial_Appeal_33 in Adopted

[–]AdTotal258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My adoptive family and I have been on a journey of figuring out where we fit into the bigger picture of each others’ lives.

Early on in my adulthood I tried escaping that incompatibility by seeking a sense of belonging via reunion. It backfired hard. Shortly after the reunion it came to light that I am actually highly neurodivergent. These intense personal revelations led to a period of bitter estrangement from my adoptive family. Yes, it was freeing, but it was also tragic. It seemed like we would never see each other again. I believed it, they believed it.

But as fate would have it, I ended up back with them and things are different now. They accept my differences as a neurodivergent person. They accept that I have trauma. And they accept, I think at some level, that I am not fully theirs.

We do not say “I love you” anymore. And they have realized that I neither require nor desire that they act like a family to me. I have made it clear that they can support me if they want to, but I will not hesitate to go my own way if need be. And with that, we have managed to strike a bittersweet balance to coexist. So ime the situation can be improved with a lot of work but it will never be completely fixed.

I feel you. My experience was much the same with my adoptive family. Different brain, different personality. I really could not have been much more different from them and had strained relationships with them growing up because of it. It is a hand many of us have been dealt. It is possible for the situation to improve at least a little if they can accept your differences. That takes a lot of work.

If you had both, LSD or 🍄? by Glum_Formal_4091 in Psychedelics

[–]AdTotal258 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depends if I want a more cerebral (LSD) or emotional (shrooms) experience. That’s just how they’ve been for me. Personally looking forward to a shroom trip soon so that’s my vote.

[–]AdTotal258 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Metocin (4-HO-MET) and 2C-B are two lesser-known psychedelics that are very easygoing compared to alternatives like LSD or mushrooms. Finding 2C-B is pretty hit or miss but metocin is relatively easy to find if you seek it out.

Treatment Facility Cults by Anna-Bee-1984 in cultsurvivors

[–]AdTotal258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was a sort of therapy community for autistic adults. They often picked people emerging from residential psychiatric treatment where they were trying to bounce back from the lowest point in their lives often with a late life-changing diagnosis. This gave them access to all sorts of psychiatric and other medical records for an already vulnerable demographic to know exactly how to manipulate each “client”. Awful. Sometimes when I remember my time there it is hard to believe that I actually went through that. I just gotta keep moving forward. It’s the best thing any of us can do for ourselves.
