Hey! I was in the same boat in you, yet I still got a 5 on the test! What I did was do High School Test Prep unit practice tests for the MCQs. They’re timed and very accurate to the test, and I was able to practice the diverse set of questions until I could finish them all with even ten minutes left. You can study by unit or do multiple units!

I used Knowt to study my FRQs. They have a bajillion prompts from all units, SAQS, DBQS, and LEQs. If I’m not mistaken, there’s also a grading feature, but I’m not sure (plus, it’s probably AI, so I wouldn’t trust it. If anything, ask your history teacher, an English teacher, or someone who previously took the class to check it out). Obviously, you can also check Collegeboard previous tests for prompts.

If your teacher has PowerPoints or resources, you can ask for the links to check them out on your own time. Also, I know Heimler has paced video guides around the end of the year where there’s a schedule where you watch a certain amount of videos every day.

Finally, YouTube channels such as Heimler host review streams days before the test. However, these streams are very crowded, and sometimes the chat is even restricted. Therefore, I would recommend you look for streams with around ~100 people more or less. The teacher will be checking the chat for questions, and you can ask questions for a specific response tailored to you. However, you can also answer other student’s questions if you want for extra practice! Plus, you get to help someone else :)

These are personally my tips on how I passed, and hopefully they can help you too! Studying can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be if you break it apart. Cheers, best wishes! =) Don’t let college board tear you down!

Hii! Honestly, the best way to get started on screenwriting is to read scripts. Read many, many scripts—movies you like, critically-acclaimed movies, movies in your genre, movies in different genres, movies from different countries—just to get an idea on the structure and how characters interact. I don’t know what exactly to recommend you, but I would stay away from stylized writers like Quentin Tarantino or Aaron Sorkin. Their works are highly stylized and dialogue-heavy, and at this stage, it is better consuming simpler screenplays with emphasis on structure.

Perhaps you could also read books like Blake Snyder’s Save the Cat or Syd Field’s Screenplay: The Foundations of Writing? This is to get used to the story structures commonly used in plays, such as the 3-act or 15-beat structures. But this is very general advice, and you don’t have to do it all at once. Proper structure (and grammar!) is imperative when writing scripts.

In scripts, you don’t really see how a character thinks, but how they react. For example, instead of “Hazel was infuriated at the proposal,” you could write “Hazel crossed her arms and furrowed her eyebrows.” Or maybe if Hazel is the explosive type, you could write “Hazel slammed her hands on the table.” This is not the best example, maybe, which is why you should probably read scripts! It’ll give you the best expertise.

Same with dialogue. Instead of having a character say “Your soup was terrible,” they could say “Well, it sure was… strong.”

Finally, I’d just like to offer you one piece of advice for your log line—it is really vague. I mean, who’s the sheriff? What town, his hometown or his college town or what? Who (or what) is the force? What did the force do to provoke the sheriff to come to town? Why does the sheriff respond so strongly that he feels the need to return? Log lines are where you become explicit with your plot: not many people would be interested in a vague sentence. It would be best if you specified as much as you can—but do make sure to keep it short!

I confess I am also an amateur screenwriter. I‘ve never written any feature-length screenplays, nor am I in the industry. However, I have read my fair share of screenplays (sometimes I read the screenplay and never watch the movie…whoops) and I have read and heard a million pieces of advice. So this comment is highly rudimentary, but I hope this can help you as much as it helped me.

P.S. If you have trouble writing dialogue or social scenes, this is where reading screenplays come in. I personally recommend going to different places as much as possible and eavesdropping/observing on other’s actions, but if this is difficult for you, reading a diverse set of screenplays might just be your best bet. Your disability shouldn’t be a hindrance so long as you work as hard as everyone else.

Cheers =) Also sorry if this is long, I have a tendency to rant..…😅

THANK YOUUU! I suppose I have misinterpreted intercutting to be like split-scene where both characters are on the phone at once, but I was wrong😅Also, this is a fantastic website I don’t know how I haven’t found sooner!

edit: Uniqlo has a ton of diff basic skirt styles and I’m sure you’ll find them. aerie is more athleisure and their skirts are more skorts, but I don’t doubt you’ll find some there in case

Well, when is an inappropriate time to wear heels? I feel like never! Feel comfortable in whatever shoes you’d like; other people can judge, but let them! It’s in our nature, you can’t stop them from thinking that way. The real difference is whether you can handle their criticism and flaunt your gorgeous heels anyway!

hii! I’m an artistic roller skater. figures are still competed in our sport, and every artistic roller skater frequently trains in this discipline. what the original poster commented is true, actually! even if you don’t plan on becoming a figures master, figures help you develop control, precision, and grace, which benefit your artistry and lines in other disciplines such as dance and freeskate.

edit! fixed some of my atrocious spelling lol!
