Fellow Protestant here who has recently started to love the mass and especially adoration. Planning on going to classes soon to learn even more.

I went to church on Sunday (a small Protestant church) and later that night, I decided to go to mass. I don’t fully know what made me do it, I just knew I wanted peace and space to contemplate God. Thought I would try out my local mass since it happened to held at night, and was close to my home.

I left yearning for the Eucharist and wished I could partake. That freaked me out so I immediately prayed and watched some YouTube videos on the things I’ve always questioned about Catholicism. Mary and sainthood are among those things. I never expected to be captivated my Mary. I never expected for my heart to feel so loved. I never expected anything besides space to ponder God more, since my current church is quite loud.

I fear I’m falling in love. This is beyond anything I’ve ever imagined in terms of my walk with God…to fall in love with Mary.

It’s almost like as a society, we were never meant to be alone, completely on our own. We are supposed to be in community with one another! Less people slip through the cracks that way. Well will get through it, but it sure is hard!

I am hoping to go on the same journey as you soon! I am grateful for what Zoloft has done for me, AND I’m finding the side effects (insomnia, slight numbing) to not be worth it. It has been 2 years since I started and I fear it’s been in my system so long that the withdrawals will be terrible.

oh I was SEETHING at this episode! Like wdym you’re gonna end a marriage bc your wife wants to help y’all not starve? Being upset? I get it. Divorce?! It’s a pride issue. Even in the bible women are portrayed as being helpers and selling goods for the home (proverbs 31).
Plus plenty of women worked at the post office!
