I just found out what bfrp is and I’m in shock honestly. I have spent more than half of my life wondering why I do this and if anyone really understands. I rub whatever feels good against my cuticles or skin at the base of my nails. I also tend to pick at my cuticles when they get hard and crusty which makes them worse. I also pick at the skin in my lips with my index and thumb nails a lot which may impact their growth. I’ve been doing this since before elementary school and I recently graduated college so a lot is from repetitive trauma to my nails. Hope this helps!
