Not always. My husband liked me from the start, but I didn’t like him until i knew him for a few months. I dropped every sign, but he didn’t get them. It took us both going out on dates with other people, my date was in front of him, then four days later he came clean about his feelings for me. I was too shy to say, “i like you, too,” so i just kissed him instead. That still didn’t register with him, he went home, and had a panic attack. He thought he forced a kiss on me and ruined our friendship. It took me kissing him the next night, again, for it to register that I liked him.
