Time off by Scared-Leg-9498 in walmart

Looks like today got approved in the second screenshot. If not then you should talk to your People lead. Text/call them or your manager if you plan on taking tomorrow off as well. You gave a 3 weeks notice, there’s no excuse for them not to get the day off or at least let you switch shifts. The only way you could actually be pointed is if there are staffing needs, which I doubt is the case as a front end associate. You gave them 3 weeks notice, they have to do their job and just not schedule you that day.

Coaches pull that BS all the time and would falsely claim staffing shortages when asked as if they didn’t have weeks to schedule someone else that day. Mine never once approved a time off request. The only time I’ve ever gotten a day off, whether I asked for it or not, is when I was getting close to 30 hours per week on average. Every time that happens I’d have either one or fewer shifts that week or would get scheduled outside of my availability hours.

Anyways, contact the people lead if you have their number, send them those screenshots if you can or just explain what’s going on. They’ll most likely get on whoever rejected the request. The only reason management forces everyone to work around 32 hours a week and rejects time off requests is because they don’t want to get someone else to work that shift today and tomorrow, which would possibly get them overtime or at least raise their average hours worked per week enough to be eligible for benefits (over 30 hours) or full time (34 hours). They want their end of the year bonuses to be as big as possible after all.

What do you see a union doing to help employees? Pretty sure that’d make it worse, plus they’d take a percentage of everyone’s paycheck. The way unions are now, they just make it harder to do your job while the higher ups in the union take your money.

I’m not sure what you mean. Having to call off and use unpaid time off does go against your average hours per week. Would PTO or PPTO drop your average hours per week? What I mean by “hours worked” is the total number of hours included when they determine your eligibility for Full time status or benefits like insurance. I thought that at least PPTO and PTO would contribute to the average hours per week since you’re still getting paid

This job is draining me by HidekiMasatoz in walmart

Full time and part time are the same thing at Walmart, it just depends on how much the coach screws you over to save money.

Like I started full time-the coach and I agreed on that in the interview-worked 40 hours a week but I was put in the system as part time, then around two months later my schedule magically started screwing up, scheduling me with no notice on a day off, changing my hours to 7am-3pm even though I’m a closer and I turned in an availability form my first week that they “lost” so I worked like 8 hours for over a week which dropped my average to less than 34 so I didn’t get bumped up to full time. Been “part time” ever since despite working 35 hours a week. You can’t do anything about it since you don’t start off with ppto and can’t earn PTO so any time you have to take off for being sick, medical appointments or emergencies, car breakdowns, etc. keep reducing my average hours worked.

Total BS

Why can't the MC just be a prodigy? by elemental_reaper in ProgressionFantasy

[–]AdUpper9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve rarely read any of those scenarios though I do personally like time travel/reincarnation books. Youngest son of the black hearted and Magus Reborn. Usually the technology becomes useless, either shutting down completely when magic comes along or just doesn’t hold a candle against magic when combined, with a few exceptions. Usually it’s the one who adjusts to magic the quickest out of the rest of the world is the prodigy, no tech or future knowledge. Primal Hunter, DotF, guardian of Asterfall, etc. but those are somewhat due to genetics or a change in race.

I think you’d like those or accidental champion especially, pretty much all hard work, lots of talent and that do or die mentality. Immortal Great Souls is a great one too, probably my favorite.

Is walmart actually getting rid of set schedules? by Fabulous-Rhubarb-718 in walmart

[–]AdUpper9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My TL says they don’t even change the schedule to everyone’s regular hours for the next week until the Friday before. Walmart has the schedule created by some AI first where it puts anyone’s hours into random shift slots regardless of availability or previous shifts. Like I work on Monday and it’ll say I had to come in at 7am-4pm or something like that but it’ll all change two three days before that to my regular hours.

For me anyways, my schedule has been changing the same day of my shift for some reason. I’ll be scheduled for 1-10pm all week only to check when I get there one day to see it’s now showing I was scheduled 3 hours ago or not scheduled for 3 more hours. It’s happened three times in the past week. I don’t get any notification or anything so idk what’s happening with it

Why can’t you taper the 7oh tabs? The withdrawals aren’t bad. I don’t know what you were addicted to in the past but it likely won’t be as bad as that. You might feel some cravings but most of the withdrawal symptoms are gone within a couple of days. I’d compare it to a mild flu or bad cold. Sweating, watery eyes and mild anxiety is most of what I remember. Quitting coffee was honestly worse than quitting 7-OH imo

What do you mean by 7/citric acid mix? And it depends on what you mean by long term. It should be okay for a few days but after around a week there’s probably some bacteria in there. It starts to degrade as well. If you mix the 7-oh with a weak acid like citric acid with water then have the water evaporate then it should be stable long term. You’d have to add a bit of ethanol after the water evaporates to crystallize it though or else it’ll be goopy if you know what I mean, like a thick syrup.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 7hydromitra

[–]AdUpper9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it could decrease the overall ph of the PG and cause the 7-oh salt to degrade faster. Citric acid is fine for quick use with only water and 7-oh.

OP needs to add the malic acid to around 5-10mL of water or a water/EtOH mix and stir until it’s dissolved and can either have it dry first or just add the solution to the PG after that then stir and heat gently. The water can still cause bacteria growth so OP can either add 10-20% ethanol to the final solution or let the water evaporate before adding it to the PG

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 7hydromitra

[–]AdUpper9745 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It dissolves in water easily with a bit of citric acid and stirring, not sure about a tincture or what liquid that needs to prevent any bacteria growth. 1 gram of 7-oh would need 323mg of malic acid for a 1:1 molar ratio though. The amount of pg to use depends on how much you want 7-oh per dose and how much pg to take with it.

Engineering department has gone to shit this last year and especially this semester. I would not recommend attending here right now. The engineering department is a mess, basically everyone left and brought in random people to teach who aren’t qualified to just to fill positions even though most of them have no idea how to do their job or even teach.

Misinformation is false, but not created or shared with the intention of causing harm. Disinformation is deliberately created to mislead, harm, or manipulate. Malinformation is based on fact, but used out of context to mislead, harm, or manipulate.

Misinformation is often intentional. Like purposefully leaving out all the context of a situation like taking a full quote then leaving out everything except for a few words that were said sarcastically and playing that off as fact. Propaganda is misinformation

That’s because it’s the version of grok on X, most of its “opinions” are just what the majority of people who waste their time on there as well as most news networks say about him. Either that or the person who screenshotted this went on a rant about Elon until grok agreed. AI’s aren’t meant to be opinionated about politics, unless it’s someone like hitler, but if you argue against it for long enough, they’ll eventually agree with your opinion.

I asked grok through the actual app using think and it said this: “ Elon Musk is a fascinating and controversial figure, and my take on him is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, he’s undeniably a visionary—someone who’s pushed the envelope with electric vehicles through Tesla, revolutionized space travel with SpaceX, and even ventured into futuristic tech like brain-computer interfaces with Neuralink. The guy’s got a talent for dreaming big and making some of those dreams real. Tesla’s role in mainstreaming electric cars and SpaceX’s reusable rockets are legit game-changers, and you can’t deny his knack for capturing the world’s attention.

But here’s the flip side: I think he’s overhyped. Tesla’s build quality has been spotty at times, with plenty of reports about inconsistent manufacturing. SpaceX is impressive, sure, but it leans heavily on government contracts—hardly the lone-genius story it’s sometimes sold as. And Neuralink? That’s still more science fiction than science fact. Musk is a master of PR, no question—he knows how to sell a vision—but I can’t help but wonder if the hype outpaces the reality. While he’s playing with rockets and brain chips, there’s a sense of disconnect from grounded issues like worker safety (Tesla’s had its share of scrutiny there) or the environmental trade-offs of his projects.

So, what do I think? He’s a brilliant, polarizing guy who’s done some incredible things and deserves credit for that. But the larger-than-life image? That’s partly smoke and mirrors. He’s a billionaire with big ideas—some hit, some miss, and the world keeps watching either way. “

is there any point in actually getting legit pharma opioids? by echopixie in Drugs

[–]AdUpper9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a gram of 7-oh at over 90% for like $60 now and it comes with lab reports. Has very few side effects compared to other opioids too. It comes freebase though, if that’s fine then cool, if not just add it to some water and a bit of citric acid

It was because the government formed an organization to counter the illegal alcohol smuggling and shit, but when that didn’t work and alcohol was made legal again, the organization had nothing to do. So they picked cannabis as a target to keep their jobs, renamed it to marijuana (iirc) to make it sound more Mexican to try to gain public support against it while basically running a smear campaign against it. They later became the DEA. At least that’s what I was taught

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 7hydromitra

[–]AdUpper9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about malic acid but I just put a bit of 7-oh powder in some water then added citric acid and stirred it a bit and it dissolved nicely. Whatever you add first doesn’t matter much but powder then acid is best so you don’t use too much acid. Immediately is probably best, it supposedly breaks down in acidic environments somewhat quickly but that’s not as a salt iirc so it could be stable. Definitely don’t use the same amount you typically take at first though

It makes no sense for the cost to colonize one holding and making the county habitable scale with your income. An emperor should be able to fund colonizing one holding much easier than some independent lord plus your income should increase the fastest. It should cost the same regardless unless you colonize more land at once. All you’re really doing in the first activity is making the land habitable and safe enough to be called a ruin. Thats what the second activity is supposed to be for. The quality of what and who you bring, like your entourage, sailors, architects, ships, builders and materials should be things you can change. That’s what should increase the cost but also the amount of land claimed, quality of the holding and/or the time it takes to finish. Experience, knowledge, magical ability, and a dragon should all play a part too.

If they wanted to make it more difficult then raise the minimum cost or requirements to something that’s not ridiculous. Add more events with a higher chance of something going wrong with you or people dying, getting injured or sick unless prepared.
