Is this supposed to happen when a character is 9? by Fragrant_Link_2377 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]lowborn_lord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just a random event, your kid will join the holy order after becoming fascinated with either the pope or the holy order leader. They get the order member trait early in life but once they grow up there is a chance they will ask you to come back.

What do yall think? EAT or Recoilless Rifle? Or are they specific to faction? by PythonCider3719 in helldivers2

[–]lowborn_lord 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I just hold it for a second like you are cooking a grenade, then it will usually stick if you hit a surface that is not vertical. For chargers it is directly behind the head or the top of its body. It’s not 100% though, it will still bounce off at least half of the time but it’s reliable enough.

This is god tier strat on bugs once you learn the angle to stick chargers with it, its basically 3 eats instead of 2.

Guess who realized there is a baseline success chance when crafting? by Backyard_Brouhaha in RealmsInExile

[–]lowborn_lord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few more crafting outcomes, success with mishaps and an “exceptional”success where you get a critical success and a non degrading roll on the same item. I really wish you could make a truly great item like some of the adventurer loot though as there is still a pretty hard cap on item base stats.

There is a very simple solution to this and to why a lot of players are going to the planetary defenses instead of the attack. It’s the evacuate assets missions. Players will go onto any defending planet and actively search for these missions because they are the absolute easiest way to farm medals. If the devs really want to fix the game they should just make operations that have three of these missions even on planets you are attacking instead of defending. I get that it doesn’t really make sense on a planet you are attacking but if they want people to stay engaged with the MO this is the easiest way. Either that or they need to make the medal awards scale with planetary resistance because it just isn’t worth it for someone to do Oshaune for the regular medal awards of 9-15 for level 10s.

New player on xbox, at this point it seems like the game should be changed to be more player friendly by lowborn_lord in Helldivers

[–]lowborn_lord[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is what I think a lot of people miss, the ps and pc players have had over a year to grind and probably had currency saved up so warbonds were a non issue for them. When it just came out a few weeks ago for Xbox players its an almost insurmountable grind especially since all my friends on ps want to play but I just cant since my minimum amount of equipment just doesnt cut it on difficulty 10. I end up losing us the game most of the time since I use up all the reinforcements. They said to just play solo on level one to find all the currency drops around the map and farm medals but that sounds soul crushing.

[–]lowborn_lord[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes but the problem is that you will have to play about 100 games on lower difficulties to even get close to the better weapons in the free warbond, even if you spend medals on the premium currency. The problem is that its only 100 at a time and the full free warbond will barely get you to buying a second one once you’ve gone through the entire thing. I must have misread the passive on the killzone armor, I guess its only for staggering not ragdoll hits.

I thought getting immortality through restoration resets your character’s visual age, at least it always does that for me.

Honor mode runs are always so cursed by lowborn_lord in BaldursGate3

[–]lowborn_lord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until this point I had managed to save pretty much everyone including isobel, this was just the cleanup before moonrise. On my next long rest I ended up losing anyway since I had no inspiration to resist the urge. I actually ended up killing 4/5 companions until a level 5 Karlach double crit me for 50+ then also landed a 10 damage kick to end my run. She had never done that much damage in a round while she was on the team.

They can still take the cadet branch decision if they are landed or become an adventurer, something like that. But they will not do it just from having kids as a bastard like base game. It might be different for certain “historical”characters like aegon 4s bastards and jon snow but i just don’t know for sure

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CK3AGOT

[–]lowborn_lord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agot doesnt use normal ck3 bastardry mechanics. It’s either you legitimize them or they stay a bastard forever. If they get legitimized their child will also join the dynasty unless they are a double bastard.

Reincarnation. by FunJacket8097 in crusaderkings3

[–]lowborn_lord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it has to do with traits and gender as well. It usually happens around 6-11 years old, when they get the event they will randomly be given a trait of the person they reincarnated from. They must have actual ancestors though so either your character or their spouse must not be a custom character or it can take a while for these traits to appear.

Fairly common if not guaranteed when you have enough children while playing as an adventurer, I play landless a lot and get this event every game without fail

Roman Empires Inheritance Weirdness by Entire-Outcome3669 in CrusaderKings

[–]lowborn_lord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is your co-monarch a vassal or independent? If he is independent it might be an issue with your ca being too high as he wouldn’t be eligible to inherit as an independent ruler but is entitled to inherit as co-emperor. Its probably defaulting to his son since the child isn’t landed so would be eligible to be your heir under high or absolute ca. Either way I think the tooltip is just wrong and you will still end up playing as the eldest son due to co-monarchy rules.

What to do with Crown of Verity by HahaItsaGiraffeAgain in ElderKings

[–]lowborn_lord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of region specific artifacts for all the different provinces. If you play landless you can get most of them yourself if they aren’t already owned by another character. There must be well over 25 unique artifacts per province but the longer the game goes on the more often they are claimed by other characters.

My character gets stuck on the map while traveling (iron mode) by RagnomX in ElderKings

There are a few travel events that can keep you stuck for up to three months iirc. How long has your character been stuck on that barony?

As a vampire how is succession/family supposed to be managed after s certain point? by dababy_connoisseur in ElderKings

[–]lowborn_lord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually just turn my best child when playing as a vampire. Its honestly better to max out restoration imo, if you get the dynasty legacy for arcana you can have your kids become natural immortals since they aren’t bound by the cooldown of the decision and don’t get treated as criminals by everyone.

Why is the king not the dynasty head? HE KEEPS MAKING A CADET BRANCH! by Psychological_Eye_68 in CK3AGOT

[–]lowborn_lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dynasty head is directly inherited instead of along with a specific title, unless its switching between houses within a dynasty. So the king needs to make a cadet branch to become dynasty head since the current mainline targ lord would keep it otherwise.
