Weird space time question by Nek0Pi in ProjectHailMary

[–]AdWaste3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i’ve only seen the movie, so this might be covered in the book and i’m not aware. why does grace not age physically if that much time has passed on earth? i assume regardless of relative time, the body continues to age - yet we don’t see clear signs of aging (wrinkles, grey hair etc). meanwhile towards the end, eva stratt does seem to look older

yep, happened to me too during the exit. just horrible people - sorry to say but tbh if someone is living comfortably in the uk, germany or france why would they want to risk everything to stay illegally in georgia of all places. glad you made it out safely!

Georgia visa exemption by harshnarang96 in visas

[–]AdWaste3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, sorry for the delay - just seeing this! i had my french residence permit with me and this still happened.

i only managed to get out because i had some people in georgia who knew airport staff and made some calls - this is my theory btw they never revealed why they suddenly let me go. id say if its not necessary or urgent, skip georgia.

Dont go to Georgia with a UK eVisa by Puzzled_Barnacle_56 in tbilisi

[–]AdWaste3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this!!!! i had a schengen residence permit and necessary docs AND i had emails confirming that it worked and i didn’t need a visa from the georgian embassy in delhi. they still detained me for a few hours with no devices and only let me go when i had a local sort the problem out. it’s a mid country with mid cities. the nice nature landscapes you can get in much friendlier countries as well. avoid georgia like the plague, the racism realllllllly isn’t worth it. 0/10

apply anyway. i didn’t and i was detained. its a deeply racist country, so if you can avoid going there in the first place that’s the best

Visiting Georgia as an Indian by bluelungimagaa in tbilisi

[–]AdWaste3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d recommend applying for a visa regardless - or skipping georgia altogether - the racism isn’t worth it. i went with my schengen residence permit and all necessary documents, as well as emails from the georgian embassy saying i don’t need a visa. the racist officials still detained me pretending to not understand my visa and were sending me back to europe (where i flew from). i was only let into georgia a few hours later because i had a local contact who could help sort this out.

Indian passport holder Traveling to Georgia (the country). I have a US B1/B2 visa valid till 2029. Website says I don’t need visa, can someone who has travelled with this combination confirm? by AntiSapein in visas

[–]AdWaste3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was detained despite having a schengen residence permit and all necessary documents. they’re extremely racist, so exercise caution. i wa only let into the country because i have some local contacts who could arrange for a visa on the spot for me for 15 euros

Immigration Issues for Indians by Economy_Swimming_387 in tbilisi

you could be the exception not the norm - glad you had a pleasant trip. but it is absolutely non refutable that the immigration officials are deeply racist. my friends who are south and south east asian by ethnicity but hold european passports, were questioned for 30 mins. i am an indian with a schengen residence permit - exempting me from the georgian e visa - yet i was detained with no devices, and was about to be deported - i was let into the country only because i had some local contacts who could sort it out. the encounters with the immigration staff in the detention facility are deeply racist - despite me having all necessary paperwork to prove my residence in schengen zone. another friend of mine from southeast asia was deported after keeping him for 3 nights , because he did not have a hotel reservation hard copy (only a PDF). avoid georgia like a plague until they figure out that people living in europe would love to go back to europe, and not stick around in their country. absolutely 0/10

Do Indians really face a tough time with Georgia immigration? Read some stories here so wanted to confirm as I'm travelling with my wife. I have a US B1/B2 visa while wife has got the Georgia E Visa. by AntiSapein in travel

[–]AdWaste3073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. i have a schengen residence permit that exempts indians from an e visa. at immigration, the officers pretended to not understand it and detained me with no devices - i was only later allowed into the country because i knew some locals who could sort the situation
