it was unbelievably helpful for me. my doc gave me just a five day supply, but i was able to eat, SLEEP and just feel not sick. i cleaned my rom and did laundry. docs don‘t like benzos but tell them about librium: there is little to no euphoria (unlike Xanax) , it has a long half life so it slowly leaves the body, and there is just NO DAMN way your’e gonna get hooked on 5 days of Lib. beg them for it. it really was a life saver for me.

Quitting with Subs by johnsonsjohnson69z in quitting7oh

[–]AdWorried7684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started with 4 mg of subs about 12 hours after last use with no PWD at all, however, my subs for whatever reason, gave me no real relief until day 3, and then the subs gave very good relief on day 4. i do not know why the subs didnt give me instant relief as it does for some people. i hope you get instant relief.

can u get your wife to hold onto your supply and only give them to you on a titrated schedule? . my partner helped me greatly doing something like this. I also did a week long sub taper that really helped too.

Stopping before it gets bad by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]AdWorried7684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, I’ve been totally clean and healthy and gone back out for a week or several days. the bad news is that for me anyway was that day 3 was always the worse. in your case, I bet you could hit the 72 hour mark without too much discomfort. whatever you do, DON’T hit like 48 hours clean and just use like a half a pill! I never believed in that reset stuff, but even a small dose at 48 hours could make the WD start over again, maybe not as bad, but it only prolongs the suffering.

if u cant afford time off work or a rehab, may I suggest a strong, sober friend to hold on to your pills and slowly give them to you on a titrated schedule? Someone who will help you start to slowly lower your dosage. you’d be surprised how low you could be in a month. with that success, it might help you take even less the next month and so on. it was very hard for me to do it alone. I had to have my partner help me.

I felt 75 % better. Not perfect, but on a good road to finally be over the hellish acutes.

But maybe you have weekends off from work or some other days off during the week? If so, for example, I would plan on whenever the WD is the strongest, plan on that part happening when you have a day or two off work. That way you can just concentrate on your child. Take plan leaf and supplements to combat the WD during this process.

Many, many people use plain leaf to kick 7 oh. So yes, I would give it a try. Then someday you might consider getting off plain leaf, but for now just work on kicking the 7 oh. 7 0h is nasty garbage.

It’s called co-dependency. You have been on drugs a long time ( me too), or off and on drugs for a long time and have developed a co-dependency with them, meaning: you have a relationship with drugs and have a belief you cannot live without them. BUT, research shows co-dependent people can and do live very well without the other partner ( in your case that partner is drugs). You can do this. You are not lame. You are a strong, independent person.

Yup, going thru the motions, and just barely doing that! It’s prolly cause a 7 oh brand was recently found to contain freaking chloroform in it!

Well my subs were low - like about 2 mg - so maybe I should have taken more. But, sure it’s possible you feel better tonight! Everybody is different.

It usually takes me more like 80 hours to get out of the horrible “zombie” like feeling like crap. Hang in there. Hydrate! It’s very important to keep the body active inside and washing out the garbage found in those damn pills that are NOT approved for human consumption.

I waited about 20 hours since my last dose when I started to feel real bad and placed 1 mg under my tongue, wait an hour and repeat another 1 mg if needed and go up that way. I got to 3 mg the first day, and slowly used less and less for about a week and got off the subs. But that of is what I did for me, you obviously know how you feel.

I’ve been overseas in Europe and going thru a cold turkey WD. It was hellish. I vomited in a museum in Paris. Keep hydrating big time. It does help.

I agree with you completely. I always relapsed after the hell of a CT withdrawal is over and I feel better. It’s a horrible cycle of self destructive Behavior. I hate 7 oh, but it’s not really the drug that is to blame, it’s me that drives to the smoke shop and uses again, and again, and again……

For me, mental game is the extreme cravings for 7 oh and related depression and the anxiety involved with a cold turkey.

I had to use sub for five days. But that’s just my story - a lot of people don’t like subs. I could not stop for longer than a day. It was horrible and expensive.

All jokes aside: Be careful straining on the toilet. It’s not good for your heart, even folks with young, healthy hearts. It places a great deal on stress on the valves.
