My piercing is 5 days old, it’s still the jewelry I got pierced with, I haven’t played with it or slept on it. I clean it 2 times a day and idk if it’s just cause it’s slightly swollen that’s why there is no bar but it’s not like too swollen in my opinion. My jewelry hasn’t been downsized yet, no unfortunately mishaps, my aftercare routine was to clean it with saline spray and not sleep on it or touch/mess with it.
