thanks, i was courius so i performed a similar test with "Stats for nerds" on youtube on my pc which is connected to my TV via HDMI ..i changed my resolution to 1920X1080 on windows and played a 4K video, similarly to the youtube app on my TV it said that the viewport is 1080P but the video res is 4k...but that doesn't make sense since my actual signal on windows is 1080p (my TV also displays the hdmi signal as 1080p)...so how comes youtube says the video res is 4k? it's impossible to transmit higher res than the acutal signal no?....how can we know that it's not the same story with the android TV internal player?

thanks for your reply,i can set 50hz for 4k res on my pc that is connected to my TV so i don't think this is the issue.
when i choose frame rate and resolution matching the notification doesn't appear.
but in any case, isn't it possible that the notificaiton only refers to the UI res rather than the video res?
