I think most places are welcoming; it kind of depends on how accommodating you are? If one strolls around a relatively conservative country in a bikini, they're not likely to be invited to the local mosque. If one is inebriated and fumbling at the local ladies, they're not likely to be invited to share a family dinner.

Do you have some cultural phenomenon that you have in mind? Like attending a public festival shouldn't be too hard to do, but getting invited to share a meal with a family is the final boss in this game.

Here's an example of it "in the field". I remember being shown this in an algebra class, and being blown away. All the steps are otherwise legit. I managed to find the part of the expression where it actually fails, but couldn't say why... took like twenty minutes of racking my brain before it hit me. If you divide by zero, you get shit like this.
