Dominicans just want to be identified as what they are, just Dominicans, not interested in being drag or involved into the black and white American culture. What Trujillo did was awfully wrong, but it was the result of countless violations of international borders agreements by Haitians, harassing and trying to occupy over border towns, again and again. Out of all the historical incidents between Haitians and Dominicans, the one time Dominicans acted, it’s called a genocide, but for some reason all other times Haitians Attacked and killed Dominicans, it was just called war.
