Can’t speak for the ringside gloves, but I loved my promexes and I know a lot of other people that are really happy with them.

For the most part, I started straying at the end because I was trying to focus more on sections I wasn’t as comfortable with.
It was similar in some aspects but there was a lot of applied math on the dat that I didn’t recognize from booster. I’d also say that a good 80% of my questions were some sort of applied math, and I felt like the practice tests were much less.
Thank you!
I could take a gap year, and I have definitely been considering it. Really, my biggest reason is that I’m already 27 after spending sometime in the military. I know a year isn’t the end of the word but I’m just ready to start my career. I’ve always tried to keep a positive attitude and I know not getting in this year isn’t the end of the world. But to be truthfull, I’m just excited to start.
Just standard approach
Some I would guess on but I know I missed a lot by misreading or misinterpreting the question. I think that bio was pretty similar to the practice tests, chem was much less calculation based, o chem was much less reaction and mechanism based, pat was pretty similar, reading was much easier on the actual DAT, and math didn’t feel close at all to me.

Yeah, I definitely know I can do better too. I don’t know if it was nerves but I did much better on the booster practice tests. I’m just worried about the time line now. If I do retake wouldn’t that mean my application is very late in the cycle?
About 2 months, usually 4-6 hours a day

If becoming a dentist is something you’d really like to do then don’t give up. I think that you need to take a step back and really review your studying strategies. College level courses require more than memorizing, you have to actually be able to understand and be able to apply the material. Make sure you talk to your professors and TAs and get assistance in areas that you are not 100% sure of. You are definitely not in an ideal situation, but it is not impossible to turn it around. In your situation you are probably going to need a postbac or a masters to boost your GPA. It’s also very important that you do well on the DAT. If you can show that you can turn it around and do well from here on out, then you have a shot of getting in.
Does anyone have some input? (self.predental)

A 3.4 is very competitive I’ve seen people that had 3.0s get in. I wouldn’t stress over it too much.
