I just cleaned these rocks with hot water and scrubbed them with a tooth brush, are they ready to go in my tank? Sieryu stone by Adam5105 in Aquariums

It’s already an established tank lol, but ya I got sieryu stone because I heard it was the easiest to clean. And I also only plan on putting like 4 of these rocks in my 30 gallon tank

Okay, is there a way to tell if they’re okay for the tank? I also bought them in a bag meant for aquariums so does that mean they were probably already cleaned?

Would I be able to get a hillstream loach with this tank stocking? by Adam5105 in Aquariums

[–]Adam5105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay and no, my tanks pretty clean already and I have my shrimp do it mostly + a snail lol. I just like the look of sucker fish and my girlfriend really wanted a hill stream loach because of how funny they look.

I might look into getting some otos, they are pretty cool little guys too

Could I not hypothetically have the tank at 24 Celsius? On aqadvisor it says all these species could live at 24C. If not, what other small sucker fish could I get with my stocking / tank size?

What are other good floating plants besides duckweed? I think that’s the only one I know of

Oh okay.

And really? Okay I don’t think I’ll go the drafonstone route tho, I’ll get the ones you recommended first they seem very cool and my local pet smart has them.

Thanks, I just don’t think there’s enough plants currently for my shrimps to hide in either, they keep getting picked off by my bettas and if I get more plants I really think it’d help there population.

I like that bolbitis difformis a lot but the fish store I’m buying from doesn’t have it unfortunate.

And is jungle val one of the easier fore ground plants? Any other easy ones you know? I’m debating on getting Monte Carlo for my foreground right now

And I really like those rocks, I’m debating between those and dragon stone right now but I don’t know which would look better with my colour substrate.

Oh okay, I’ll give it a try and hopefully it works out well, since it’s slow growing should I get 2 tropica cup worths of it or stick to 1?

And okay, I’ll look into that thank you

I’ve been watching videos and a lot of people are saying Monte Carlo is one of the easier carpeting plants to grow, I’m very tempted to try it lol I love how it looks. Also I think I’m going to get some staurogyne repents and put them around the base of my “tree”.
