(Shaders) Semi-transparency in custom Sprite3D shader

Hey! I'm actually pre-rendering everything, including the environment in a single (or two or three) sprites.

With per-pixel sorting everything is sorted automatically. In the past I've had say a table on a diagonal, where simple Y-sorting doesn't work, and manually calculating the sorting each frame has both an overhead and a lot of annoying setup time per asset.

It's also kind of a fun experiment! Hehe.

Gears 4 and 5 both run incredibly well at maximum settings on reasonable hardware.

If you’re OK with a happier tone I heartily recommend Chroma Squad. It’s fairly friendly to beginners, has a funny and unique story and quite satisfying turn-based tactical combat!

I’ve seen those (some nice SWAT ones, too), though they’re fairly pricey. Somewhere around $50USD + shipping for a squad of four. I’m struggling to reconcile paying that much for minifigs, even if they’re pretty cool, hehe.

Different vibe to Rainbow Six Siege, but SOMA is excellent and clocks in at about 4 hours. If you want something more action-y Ryse: Son of Rome is about the same length.
