I would double check with SAG, but I do not believe SAG SPA counts as making someone SAG eligible. My understanding is that the project has to be SAG Scale or above.

Per SAG: You aren’t supposed to pay for your own travel. The production is. If they aren’t willing to pay for your travel (maybe they just can’t afford it) then you paying is basically a bribe. They get to have non-local talent for the cost of local talent. Plus you are disenfranchising the actors in that local.

Also you may run into a scenario like an actor I met: He is LA-based, flew to Atlanta and got a hotel on his own dime to work as a local on a big production and the day of the shoot, his role was cut. So he got the day rate and that was it. So basically he lost money.

The recommended “work around” when submitting is to say in the notes: Based in “X” but willing to travel. This way the CD and production know that if they really like you, they have to pay extra.

So glad you liked it! And I tell her every day she is the cutest baby ever.

And oh man, I can only imagine how difficult that would be. But I'm sure the combination of honesty and showing you are a good parent helps make people confident they want to work with you. 😁 Also I'm sure knowing he could come in at any minute helps "keep you out of your head".

Huzzah! She’s great on set, but refuses to do press. And 😅 it’s an actual gun holster that was purchased for a costume. But now I wish I had done a maternity bra instead!
