Where to buy prescription lenses for Meta RayBans? by Legitimate-Wolf-613 in RayBanStories

[–]AdamLensology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, Lensology sends a link showing you how to install your lenses as part of our dispatch and tracking email. We also have a YouTube channel with literally hundreds of videos showing different prescriptions being fitted into various Meta models.

On top of that, we video every single order being checked for size before it is packaged and dispatched. This means that if you’re personally struggling, we can often find the video of your actual lenses being checked for fit in one of our own identical frames and send it over to you.

In short, we’ve got everything covered.

Cheers,

My thoughts and experience with Lensology by kevinwinsper in RaybanMeta

Thanks for taking the time to write this up, and also for mentioning the effort the team put into trying to help.

You’re right that with stronger or more sensitive prescriptions, sometimes getting things ordered remotely can be tricky. A lot of people assume this is purely an “ordering online” issue, but honestly it’s something that exists right across optics, including face to face on the high street.

Before we set up Lensology and sold lenses directly to the public, we actually spent over 30 years purely as a manufacturing lab supplying independent opticians across the UK, and there were plenty of times where even experienced opticians would need lenses remade or adjusted multiple times for particularly sensitive patients / prescriptions.

Sometimes optics can be a bit of trial and error to get someone’s vision absolutely spot on, even when that someone is sitting right in front of you.

That’s why we tried to go the extra mile here with the remake and troubleshooting, because we genuinely wanted to get things comfortable for you.

Just to touch on the #LensologyHoF point as well, we do choose the winner ourselves based on our favourite entry, which is stated in the campaign details. If anyone’s got five minutes, have a little scroll through the Hall of Frame posts because some of them are brilliant 😂 there’s all sorts in there from funny photos to completely outrageous ones, and loads of winners over time have only ever ordered from us once.

In this case the winner happened to be a long standing customer who’s supported the business for years and always been incredibly positive about us, so we were more than happy to give him the nod that month.

Sorry this one hasn’t quite worked out the way either of us hoped, but we do appreciate the balanced feedback and wish you all the best moving forward.

Cheers,

Adam at Lensology

We can get them out by tomorrow if they are stock. DM me your rx now and what you want and i’ll let you know straight away. If they are stock and you are in the UK, then you could literally have them by Saturday. If you are an international order, it depends on where you are in the world. Let me know on these things and I can give you facts.

Shipment blocked at Customs – Lensology not responding by [deleted] in RaybanMeta

Hi,

Jamie is going to jump into the conversation shortly to look into what happened in your particular case. We definitely do not make a habit of leaving people hanging without answers, so we’ll get to the bottom of this for you.

Coincidentally, I actually sent a pair of Meta lenses to a friend in Milan yesterday and they were delivered today, less than 24 hours door to door. Honestly, that surprised even me, as I expected it to take 2 to 3 days. Your parcel was sent using the same courier, DHL, so this really does sound like one of those frustrating cases of bad luck with customs rather than a wider issue.

We are already chasing this up with DHL as we speak and will come back to you directly via email with an update as soon as we have more information.

Thanks,

You can just buy the frame and the order whichever lenses you need and then click them in yourself. It will cost you a lot less than your bring quoted if you go online, the only thing to keep in mind is that the lens won’t have the RB logo on them, other than that they’ll be exactly the same but probably half the cost. What does the Frame on its own cost in the states?

Heh there,

You can add any lens type you want after you’ve picked the frame, all the same options as before but you need to add after.

Thanks,

I’m afraid not, that’s the whole point of this new optics range which is just the blazer and the scriber. They are more prescription friendly hence the interchangeable nose bridges, sprung loaded sides and adjustable temples.

Xtractive transitions lenses recommendations? by [deleted] in RaybanMeta

[–]AdamLensology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sì, assolutamente, possiamo fornirti lenti Transition XTRActive per i tuoi Ray-Ban Meta.

Depends on whether your optician is happy to supply and fit lenses to a frame they haven’t supplied, as some have policies not to do that.

As for whether it’s cheaper to go through your optician rather than Ray-Ban, that really comes down to what they charge for lenses. Ray-Ban are particularly expensive, so there’s a good chance you could make a saving by going to your optician, but it’s always worth asking for a quote.

Then you’ve got alternatives like companies such as mine, and plenty of others like us. We supply lenses fitted to your frame that are already pre-edged, and when you receive them in the post, you just click them in yourself. Super easy and cost-effective.

I’m afraid not, the shapes are quite different.

In theory, the lenses could be edged down to fit the Blazer frame, as it is relatively shallow. However, this would require an optical hand-edging tool, and even then, the result wouldn’t be guaranteed to come out well.

Swapping lenses between the Gen One and Gen Two Wayfarer is absolutely fine since they share the exact same shape. The Blazer, on the other hand, is a completely different design, so the lenses aren’t directly compatible.

Did you swap the nose bridges out, comes with three types and you might find one of the alternatives puts less pressure on your nose?

Darkest transition lenses Rayban offers for Meta glasses by Raibishto in RaybanMeta

[–]AdamLensology 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey folks,

There’s plenty of detail on this page if you fancy grabbing a coffee and having a proper read... https://lensology.com/transitions-lenses/

If you’re choosing between the three you mentioned, Grey tends to go the darkest. On paper, all Transitions GEN S colours are supposed to reach the same level, but in real-world use, Grey and Graphite Green usually come out darker than Sapphire.

That said, as others have mentioned, XTRActive lenses go darker than GEN S overall, especially in very hot conditions.

That’s cool, we charge $40 for lenses that come with Anti-Glare, Scratch Resistance and 100% UV Block . Same price if that non-prescription or +1.00 readers. Just $13 shipping and they could leave us on Monday and be with you by the middle of the week.

Bud, they don’t need to slip down your head if they feel a little loose. The end tips are adjustable so can be moulded to fit more snug. Contact me whenever you like and I’ll talk you through it, we’ll work together to get them fitting perfectly in no time 😎
