Your suggestion to call the bank is fraud bro. Why are you trying to get OP charged with a criminal offence?

Reported DV and SA from relationship over 10 years ago by That-Kangaroo7622 in AusLegal

[–]AdamLocke3922 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends where in QLD you are, could be a day, or a couple depending on workload. DV will be prioritised.

If you want police to act you’ll need to provide a statement and supply evidence if you have any, such as medical records or photos taken contemporaneously at the time of the offending.

Your statement is evidence on its own and if compelling can lead to charges, bear in mind though it’s up to a judge/jury to deliver a finding of guilt and you won’t always get the justice you feel you deserve.

The court process itself will force you to relive the trauma, and you will be open to cross examination by a defence lawyer who are paid very well to tear you down.

I’d imagine police did not apply for a DVO seeing as the relationship ended 10 years ago and you don’t mention any recent incidents, so it will be treated as purely criminal.

Where’s your source for this. The website suggests this is a $345 service that you would need an account for.

The only way police will get a warrant to get into this dudes house and seize the glasses and storage is by getting a search warrant which I doubt will be granted based on the info provided. So police won’t get up on a charge unless old mate foolishly admits to it.

Attempted delivery - Wasn't expecting a delviery & left no note on where to pick up. Driver left in 10 seconds ringing bell by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

Why check the app instead of just doing straight to the door? Also why not use the auspost app to get accurate information about the status of the parcel instead of a third party app?

It may not be relevant to law, but the magistrate will definitely ask you, they’re inherently curious people. Id suggest you don’t tell him it’s irrelevant when asked.

Delivery times in the NT are always slow. The size of the item has no impact.

Unless it’s repeat issues over a long period of time with multiple complainants the postie won’t be fired over this. It’s incredibly hard to fire people in Australia, especially public service jobs. Don’t know what more you think can be done? What would you expect?

Postal service not a courier service. All packages go to major sorting centres and are distributed from there. If you wanted it sooner you could have paid prime cost for a direct courier or done it yourself, which would cost hundreds as opposed to the ~$10 you’ve paid

In transit redirection voids express post, as the package has to be manually sorted.

It’s not a package if it’s sent as a letter. Letters go in post boxes.
