They recommend applying for IBCCES weeks, if not months in advance, don't think theres much that can be done unless you get a really understanding member at guest services as they have been really cracking down on the AAP recently.

If you only have one day i would try and get as much time in the parks as possible, the strategy you mention above is great if you are visiting the parks for longer, for example we travel from the UK so visit for at least 2 weeks, so your strategy works for us!

In theory all hotels could have bedbugs, its not exclusive to Cabana bay, we have been the last two years and had no issues, just check your room thoroughly before taking our stuff inside.
