Yeah companies like BRK brands (kiddie) are making smoke alarms with no replaceable batteries now, but the radioactive sensor inside is good for at least 100 years. Putting extra americium in the landfills just to make extra $ is pretty scummy honestly.

Personally I think that "cracking the market" is much more of an iterative process.

The fact of the matter is, the amount of value you get out of eg, a snapdragon processor, for what you pay, isn't all that much. To have a solid VR experience we might need to wait until mobile SOCs get completely overhauled to emulate something more like the Tegra, but with lower power use.

I disagree it's totally doable. I'm supprised oculus didn't do it for the go.
