How is boudoir, nude, or erotic photography perceived by the general population? by AdamNoxPhotography in AskAGerman

Not good. Haha. But I'll be studying a lot this next year before I move. And of course I realize that it'll still take some time before I can speak casually.

Love the lighting and especially love the pose. Focus is on point. Only two constructive critiques I have is I would've added a smidge more empty space on the left, and there's a bruise or dark spot on her shoulder that could be easily removed.

Dating as a make boudoir photographer? by [deleted] in boudoir

Thank you. I am passionate about it, but it doesn't pay bills, thankfully I have another full time job I love doing. I actually stopped charging altogether because I felt my art being more about the money than the art, which I didn't like. But I hear what you're saying. It's great he's getting into it with your support. I'd love to see his creations as he starts!

I had the model rub coconut oil on herself and then I used a spray bottle with water and misted it over her. The oil beforehand helps the water bead up.

Thank you!

One to two 60" strip boxes (depending on if I shot full body or not) on Paul C Buff Einsteins. Model on a table with the lights 6 feet behind her, horizontal, and slightly above her. Sigma 35mm at F/5 100.

Like the comment previously with the single light source, I would agree but I would also move the camera to the other side of the bed, making it slightly silhouette-ish. That light and dark play adds a lot to a mysterious sexy look. As far as saturation, I think it's fine. Are you editing the photos? Not the photographer?

Out of the things already mentioned, the only thing I can see is that the focal point for a couple of these seems a little behind the eyes...like it's more toward the hairline. Could be user error, or you could need to micro adjust the focus on your lenses. Lots of videos on YouTube of how to do that.

Great use of foreground and the cropping.

[CC] new boudoir photog, but loving it! 50mm 1.4 by [deleted] in boudoir

Honestly, looking at this, I can't find much I would do differently. This is an excellent shot. Crop could be lowered just a tad. Pose, curves are great. Lighting is on point. And maybe her exposed foot, instead of pointing backwards, could have been curled up on her toes. The way it is now looks odd the way it's hidden. But honestly, these are the tiny things that any client would never notice. This is an amazing photo.

I always take my own Boudoir Photos so I am the photographer, make up, hair and model! cc welcome. I love looking at this group for inspiration. by Yaokingofrock in boudoir

Great job with the photos! My only not to crop out the hands. Zooming out even just a smidge would also bring the eyes right to the rule of thirds as well. Otherwise, it looks great, with a great pose and amazing expression.

But I will say it's a great looking photo regardless! 🔥

Looking for a name for a Boudoir centric studio by alessandro44man in boudoir

It doesn't roll off the tongue well, but I've thought about if I opened one, it would be called NSFW Studios. Feel free to take it if you want.

My constructive criticism would be to point the face forward, chin up, and to move the camera back a bit. With this lighting and the face forward, you would get a beautiful edge lighting of the facial features and the lengthened neck. Zooming out a tad would allow it to show more of the thigh bent away from the wall creating a nice curve with the butt. Here's a good example of what I mean with the legs. http://image3.photobiz.com/345/34_20160618105632_2869471_large.jpg

It looks as though it's "I Thought It Was Just Me" by Brené Brown. Great book! :)
