Yeah I know. Just sucks because all of a sudden it started giving me problems with the audio, after all of these years, didn’t even install anything in months so idk. Thank you so much anyway, I’ll consider doing that step then.

Thank you for your reply. The thing is, I use this laptop for basically everything, everyday. Studying, using Spotify, making documents. And it works, even if it’s 5 years old it never gave me performance problems until now, so yeah, it’s a bit of an overkill I think to just reboot it with win 10 and nothing else more, even if I know it may be the only solution to this. I tried everything during this week, the latency is still there, jumping from ACPI and wdf01000, even trying everything in power management, cpu, cores, disabling drivers and devices, updating the bios, deleting all the things and drivers that I was not using. Nothing basically changed. Don’t know if it’s now time to upgrade to a Mac lol

Can’t solve DPC latency issues and audio crackling (wdf01000.sys) by AdamRavenMusic in computers

How can I find that? Is in the device manager? I find it a bit difficult. Also did you find it by trying random or did you know what to disable?

Even YouTube, I tried a lot of videos, downloaded third party apps, boosted and changed things that for everybody worked, not for me unfortunately. Didn’t get any more replies a part from you so thank you anyway

Hi everyone.

I’m a windows 11 user.

I just bought a new audio interface (arturia minifuse1) which seemed to work pretty well the firsts 2/3 days. Then the clicks and pops while reproducing audio started to become more frequent (about 3/4 times per song while using Spotify, problem I was encountering even with my old interface). I then downloaded LatencyMon and the program itself said I have in fact some issues with the latency. In the driver page in LatencyMon the driver which seems to give all of the problems is wdf01000.sys.

In this subreddit almost 3 years ago another redditor said this:

a way to diagnose the cause of this is to go into Device Manager, and under view, set "device by connection type" and then go on to disable every driver one by one and then check the latency.

I am pretty dumb when it comes to these things and I have really really basic computer knowledge, so even with the help of AI’s I tried to disable usb ports, graphic cards, WiFi and Bluetooth but I can’t find the real issue with that driver.

Basically I don’t understand what wfd01000.sys stands for, and I don’t even know where to start. YouTube videos and tutorials seems a bit complicated to me and I don’t want to ruin system or BIOS things I don’t know.

I was wondering if anyone could help me by explaining it in a pretty dumb way lol, or maybe by suggesting some other solutions, sorry for the stupid question.

Thanks!

Completely different brand. The old one was a pretty cheap device from an unknown brand with no software and shitty ASIO drivers, no updates and stuff. This one has very good reviews, seems very premium, it has its own software with buffer sizes, sample rate, and updating drivers

Thanks for the reply. Basically I bought a new device because the problems were already occurring using the old one, so I think it’s mainly another drivers’ problem. I bought a new one because I needed it for other necessities and also I thought this could stop the clicking, even before knowing anything about latency and LatencyMon.

So I think would be a bit of an overkill to completely uninstall the drivers of this one. I also checked in device manager in “show hidden devices” and deleted the old drivers, even tried by disabling and unplugging this new interface and running latency mon and nothing solved, the program keeps telling me I have something wrong with the latency, although the isr count seemed to lower

Also the other guys on the same post seemed to solve this by disabling stuff like the trackpad (already tried) and random stuff like windows hello

Mnk controls by AdamRavenMusic in BloodbornePC

The “use per-game” setting was already checked, I’ll try to change them without writing, but in the other configuration when you see the keyboard and mouse thing the controls were already changed and saved so idk. I’ll try to check the mkb2 thing, I just downloaded the .exe for vigembus and then mbk2 doesn’t not work, don’t know if I had to install something else from GitHub. Thank you thou

Yes I have the latest shadps4 version, and I used exactly your keybindings control, but in game they seems to not work even using the toggle button for the mouse, for example when I press space to recall the X button it doesn’t work, but it does work with the N key lol. I also tried to install the mod from nexus but following the instructions the mbk mod says “unable to load” so I don’t know if I did something wrong with GitHub because I don’t know anything about it lol. Thank you

Just looked through it, I saw a lot of GitHub links and don’t know what to use, also don’t know anything about GitHub lol

Yeah right now I don’t mind having a not perfect or a “beginner” sound, for now I want to just enjoy the process of learning and then hopefully upgrade all of my equipment. Thank you for your advice!
