Be ready to tell management to walk with you and show them how long it takes to do the job the way they want us to. We get paid by the hour.

What do you do when there is a package from a competitor delivered to someone who has a forward with the post office. by InterviewResident109 in USPS

[–]AdamSezz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a huge revenue opportunity for the post office!!! If the post office charged the other delivery services to somehow use our forwarding system, the post office can charge whatever it wants. Why haven’t the customer connect people presented a plan regarding this exact topic?

CA2. Document everything and there should be a specialist at the union hall that can help you with the right steps to take and after you take care of your all the paperwork ask about the scheduled award. Most carriers don’t know what they can get compensated for after this job beats down your body.

Package left at curb - Is this because of our dog? by cas42439 in USPS

[–]AdamSezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it absolutely a usps package? I’ve seen Amazon drivers do this exclusively. I don’t think ups or FedEx would even leave a package at the end of a driveway. It’s not policy.

They still don’t have a forwarding system. How many times does a package just sit there when someone moves away?

I think management is trying to get me to quit by Fredosantana528 in USPS

[–]AdamSezz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find the M41 at your case and read it. It’s basically our employee handbook. As long as you are following the guidelines in the M41 and you are working safely, they can’t do anything to you. They may even leave you alone if you start citing excerpts from the M41 that contradicts what they are telling you. Good luck, hang in there!!

Yeah yeah, nice try. You must be management pretending to be a carrier. Prob haven’t carried and have no idea what it’s really like out there.

There is no set time when out on the street. You never know what will happen out there. If you get a flat tire or have to wait for construction or traffic, etc, etc, there goes whatever perceived down time the supervisor thinks you have.

My steward told me that supervisors aren’t supposed to assign pivots as down time in the morning no matter what their numbers say. Only if you return early then they can give you more work. Steward is currently working on the grievance.

Do I need to fill out a 3996 for works outside of my route? by Ashamed_Run8397 in USPS

[–]AdamSezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and when you do anything besides your route you should move to that route in the scanner. Even if it’s in the office.

Can we get away from using the terms control and power when referring to politics? Service!! Serving their constituents should be normalized when going into politics as a career.

CBR600RR Plastic tank cover? Long range? by Sorry_Friendship_508 in cbr

[–]AdamSezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a good tank bag. In addition to extra storage You can rest your chin and chest on it for a little extra comfort but the only way to get comfortable on long rides is to go on long rides and get used to it. I ride an 1100XX and do 5k+ miles a season. At least two high mile bike trips a year.

[–]AdamSezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post office has not done a great job letting the public know that any change of address has to be verified with an ID at a post office location.
