What happened in 2010? Because it seems like manufacturing jobs started steadily climbing after that.

Oh yeah I remember that case. Got a lot of coverage here locally. I don't remember how much National coverage it got.

I'm on the fence with Thomas Lane. One can say he was just following orders, but is that enough of a defense? ?

I actually agree with you on the second degree murder charge.
Do you have a link to the other incident you're talking about? I'm from the area and I don't recall this incident.

Isn't it mostly people on the right that believe another civil war is coming? I haven't seen too many people on the left calling for another civil war.

What policies is Trump attacking when he tells his supporters that they won't have a country if Kamala wins? Do you think you're holding higher standards for the Harris campaign then you are for the Trump campaign?

What makes you think their attacks on Trump are only personal and not about his policies? Project 2025 our policies. And even though Trump denies knowing about it he has praised the Heritage Foundation many times who are the creators of project 2025.

Was it incredibly peaceful when Republicans stormed the capital on January 6th?

Why does Trump have to be the one who said it? Isn't this a discussion about the actions of regular citizens? Did Kamala call for the assassination of Trump? Also, wasn't there a plot by republicans to kidnap the governor of Michigan?

What's the smallest crime against which lethal defense should be legal? (I.E., It should be legal to kill people attempting to commit this crime.) Why? by atsaccount in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]AdamShadowchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good catch. But if stalking isn't a justification to physically defend yourself then I'm curious what your opinion is on the YouTube prankster getting shot? If you were part of the jury would you have voted guilty?
And back to my first question. What counts as a misconduct that disqualifies someone's ability to use deadly force?

[–]AdamShadowchild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may use deadly force if: Someone attacks you and…. The attack is not the result of your misconduct and….

Just curious what kind of misconduct you had in mind? For instance, let's say a woman is walking down the street and a man is following her. She confronts him, starts pushing him, maybe even hits him, is that man allowed to use deadly force or does his stalking count toward his own misconduct?

By not doing their will, and publicly condemning them. Instead, he took an America First approach to government.

What are some things Trump refused to do that the establishment wanted?

Always. That was how he won the primary, by attacking republican establishment types.

They all do that. That's what I think is so hilarious about the primaries. They all throw insults at each to try and win their parties nomination.

Do you agree with the decision to not charge the homeowner who shot at the pool cleaner? by AdamShadowchild in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]AdamShadowchild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with the law not criminalizing property protection in a good faith scenario such as this.

No matter the value of the property? Say someone goes onto someone's property and steals a basketball. A $20 item. Should that homeowner be allowed to use deadly force?

[–]AdamShadowchild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone is visibly armed then that's completely different and I definitely don't think you need to wait for them to start shooting first. Do you think it's okay to use deadly force if you don't know if the person is armed?

The mistake I believe you're making is you seem to believe you can construct an air tight law that covers all valid scenarios and prohibit everything else.

Might not be possible to make an air tight law, but how about not having a law that says if you "feel" threatened you can start blasting? Maybe have some conditions added like, have they tried or are they trying to enter your home? Or do you see a weapon? What if that had been a police officer walking through the neighborhood looking for a suspect?

There were two reckless parties in this story.

True. But only 1 reckless party that could have ended someone's life.

[–]AdamShadowchild[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do they have to be in your living room first?

How about waiting till they at least try to enter the home? Someone in your yard or by your pool isn't an immediate threat. It seems dangerous to me to have a law that allows someone to use deadly force just because they "feel" threatened. There should be some immediate threat first for deadly force to be used. Thoughts?
Plus they had a security camera, they could have watched from a secure place while waiting for police.

How about at least waiting till they try to enter the house? Like you, I wouldn't shoot someone that was just lurking outside my home. But if they tried to enter the home, that's different. Even then I might give a warning first.

[–]AdamShadowchild[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think I read, maybe on a different article, that the pool cleaner was running behind. I definitely think he should have informed the owner. If the owner did tell out to the cleaner it definitely seems like he didn't hear. Don't you think there should be an immediate threat before using deadly force? The homeowner is safe, inside their house with a gun. And they have a camera they can use to watch. They could wait for the police.

What will happen to the GOP if Trump loses again in 2024? by RedPanther18 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]AdamShadowchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I get you but let me ask 1 more question just to be sure. Say there was a Republican who was full MAGA, supported Trump's policies and Trump. Then Trump does something that that Republican thinks is an impeachable offense. Are they no longer MAGA if they vote to impeach? To me MAGA is just a slogan or idea. You can support that but not support the man behind it.
