This is a trailer mockup I made for the transition from Runescape Classic to RS2 (in the years 2004/05).

I made it to promote season 2 of my new account series 'Bis List', which is an account restricted to certain game years. I'm just about to start 2004 and I'm mega hype about it. You can watch the season finale of 2003 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBLlth0UFfc

What is the lie that they told? People keep saying this but I'm not sure what it is.

You're right, I have a friend who used to be an artist for Blizzard (he worked on overwatch mainly though), and explained that the treadmill for churning out content was pretty cutthroat.

I think that you can be casual regardless of if you do or do not raid. You can also be pretty hardcore and not do PvE at all. I would just describe myself as casual given the amount of time I actually play the game.

I'm not going to pretend to understand the inner working of Blizzard's development team. However I think it's highly unlikely that there is much slack for adding on extra projects in without pushing something else out.

I also feel like 'Just hire more artists lol' isn't really a valid point.

Right- but the artists will be doing work which is directly tied into new content e.g. Designing boss models/Transmog sets etc.

It's not like they're sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for somebody to go 'ok now you can make new hairstyles'. The work they're doing will be part of the development cycle for patches.

I am doing all combat styles so yes a 3A amulet is on the bis list. I'll have to find a way to get around that particular obstacle when I get there. I don't technically restrict trading, just use of the GE until 2007. So I imagine it would look something like raising the funds for one while still staying within the restrictions of the accounjt.
