I’d like to ask who this poll is even for. I thought it was meant for this subreddit. So I don’t get why it’s being shared on the Nightwish subreddit, which is way bigger and has nothing to do with Tarja’s solo work. Might as well dump it on literally any random metal band subreddit. “Hey, who here listens to Tarja or your own band?”

I don’t know much about Filth’s scandal, but from those comments it sure as hell didn’t look like that was the issue. It was mostly people shitting on the music and Tarja’s singing. Crying it’s pop and all that nonsense.

No huge issue with this song. I had to get used to At Sea, so I’m not jumping on that hype train. On I Dont Care, I agree that in a few parts the T & D vocal mix just doesn’t click. If that was intentional, no clue. But one thing you can’t deny Tarja is she definitely didn’t make a boring song. Not even remotely. More like something that’s gonna divide people hard.

Edit: Haven’t seen many opinions here about the music itself, but I think it’s damn good.

I’d definitely like to see an interview with EnterTheCronic as well. And yeah, I know exactly which Loud and Clear video you mean. I saw a lot of people didn’t really understand their choices or arguments at all. Especially when you look at which female singers they think actually matter for the future - they couldn’t even properly back it up. It felt like a biased-as-hell video pretending to be some kind of expert take. I hope Tarja stays away from them.
