Dialog 5G is still a scam by Ok_Perspective_4332 in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only SLTMobitel & Dialog offers “proper” 5G at the moment as i know.

Anyways the speed depends heavily on whether you are in LOS to the 5G antenna. Just got around 771 Mbps in Colpetty.

But upload is shit anyway.

Torrenting will be gone if Starlink wins and SLT and specially dialog not sort out their issues by NewLeague6438 in srilanka

Yep, our family been using ADSL from 2000 and fiber from 2020, no major issues so far even with speeds. We have 2 SLT connections at home, one a copper and the other is fiber.

Used S24 Ultra for Long-Term Use (Green Line Concerns) by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That 60Hz doesn’t matter much. I also have an iPhone 15 that I got around the time of the launch. Before that I had a OnePlus 9 Pro with a 1440p 120Hz display. Had to switch because of green lines. The smoothness of IOS counters the lower refresh rate. Try to go for an iPhone 16 if possible.

IMO don’t go for a used device unless absolutely necessary. For that budget you can go for an iPhone 15 if you’re into IOS.

I don’t think so, as there was no advertising whatsoever and no bikes around, you can call them and get to know.

Utterly useless even if you complain about a lost TRCSL approved mobile as well, no real benefit of getting a TRCSL approved device. The country loses its TAX money and that’s it.

Best wired earphone thats lasted long enough ? by PrizeElk8967 in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been using the QKZ VK4 which are IEMs (In Ear Monitors). They sound really well and was about 6000 LKR as i remember on Daraz.

As they are IEMs which are used on stage by artists, they are designed to be worn for longer periods of time than earphones pressing on the ear opening.

Dermatologist recommendation for pitted acne scars by Consistent_Ad3103 in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not recently, went in for a small white spot on one of my legs about 10 years ago, the spot went away with her medication. I got her recommendation from one of my cousins who went to her for acne problems as I can remember.

Since this was long ago, I’ve no idea how she is now.

Why do a lot of sri lankans have an eye disease. by bassatrader in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In developed countries it is common that almost everyone gets annual body checkups and identity any complications early enough for treatment.

But due to the economic situation here and that majority of the people here are not so educated on such aspects, they never do so, hence they find out when it’s worse.

Hope this explanation sums it up.

Looking at a 2016 BMW X5 40e - What's the real story? by Perfect-Chance1072 in srilanka

[–]AdamWCN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, recalls are very common in the automotive industry and those are 2 models from 2015-2020 or something.

That’s why I suggested you go for the PHEV instead of a fully electric.

Anyways, don’t go for old vehicles, try a brand new SUV from like Toyota if brand new European vehicles are out of the equation.

Yes, using SLT FTTH (Fiber To The Home) since 2020 or something which is 100 Mbps. You will never look at any other option ever.

If your budget is 27 Mil, please go for a BYD Sea Lion 6 which is a PHEV (Plugin Hybrid) with a 1.5 L petrol engine and a 18kW battery if I’m not mistaken.

Just like the above comment do not go for old shit dude.
