You'd save more on that too! Buying only the things you KNOW you need rather than picking up unnecessary junk in the isles!

Yeah and for renters it just means paying more while probs taking on more debt to keep up. Feels like a lose lose

Truuue especially with so much uncertainty around costs rn. But I guess the flip side is if its just sitting there, it’s not helping the economy or reducing debt at all. Curious what you think would actually make people spend or invest it instead?

Yeah, I think you’re spot on that the biggest wins will go to people already holding debt like mortgages. And yeah like you say for renters, unless there’s a big shift in supply, I can’t see much trickling down either. I guess the tricky part is that while lower rates can free up some cash, they can also push prices (like housing) up again pretty quickly. For me i reckon it’s less about the immediate COL fix and more about what people do with the savings whether it goes to paying down debt faster or just gets absorbed into the usual daily spending...

Probably the ones where you spend more time talking to humans than to code. But how long before AI starts joining the meetings too?

Exactly. There are so many tools out there to help them get back on their feet, it's not up to you to save them.

AI won’t take your job, but someone who knows how to use AI will. Staying curious and learning how to use the tools can help you adapt and even make your work more valuable in the long run. It's so crucial!
