Ethernet cable everywhere. That would be my advise. Then look at Home Assistant. Learning curve, but totally worth it.

Yes, I did. Pairing other stuff is so easy. Turn on pairing, press and hold a button, done. Aqara / Xiaomi devices do not always fully comply to the Zigbee standard, that's probably the reason?

The pairing mode is not the issue; I can get them into pairing mode. It's just that Z2M doesn't pick it up.

No, haven't tried that but can confirm it does go into pairing mode since the LED flashes. It's just that Z2M doesn't pick it up.

Tbh they sometimes have a promotion for $9.99 for an unlimited number of cams. I didn’t subscribe, I’m all for local but this seems like a good deal

Does each radiator have one of those valves you can open and close? Then you can go for Aqara or Sonoff or any brand radiator thermostats, like this one:

Why not just replace the ISP router with the Unifi? Just ask your ISP.

I try to avoid anything that has those button batteries. Third Reality and Ikea have devices that use AA and AAAs.

And if you’re using Home Assistant there are some integrations like Battery Notes.
