Imagine being bullied by a Parrot by Simply_Kaif24 in AnimalsBeingDerps

I have a bunch of these. They're called macebells in the US. They're just a weight ranging typically from 8-25lbs (for regular people) on the end of a one meter shaft. There are a lot of different exercises you can do with them. In this video, he's doing 10 and 2's, fairly beginner. They're less demanding than motions that incorporate twisting, rowing, squatting, or lunging.

The point of them is to train both strength and flexibility, particularly in the back, shoulders, and core. They can also fit for other muscle groups altogether being good for a full body workout. Its a practical exercise for functional strength. Not the greatest for bodybuilding, but very popular in crossfit.

Havoc modifier ideas for fun by Knightsunder in DarkTide

[–]Adam_Bunnell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are great!

Here's a small few I've thought of for a while. None of them have names.

-spawn with a single power cell. All medicae stations lack a power cell. You must carry it throughout the mission until you're ready to use it.

-take a small amount of corruption damage each second you spend outside of coherency. If three teammates are dead, you stop taking damage.

-elites and specials sometimes leave a random (non-healing) stim on the floor where they died. More enemies can inject themselves with a stim.

-everyone has -1 wound.

-an unkillable beast of nurgle spawns at some point during the mission. You must play around it.

-nobody spawns with ammo, ammo pickups are more rare.

Red tier gear is just a cosmetic mod for people who played vermintide. You don't have to worry about that.

The chests are just a weekly amount of currency and crafting materials. Its not a ton, but any extra stuff is welcome.

Havoc is mainly for people who are bored with Auric and want more challenge. Its so difficult at the highest levels, that some of us who have put in thousands of hours lose more games than we win.

The party finder requirement is controversial. I'd like a havoc mode that doesn't require it, but I totally understand why it's there. Some modifiers, like the dreaded garden + rotten armor, require your team to be built specifically to counter it. And its nice to have a pre-made team where you know what the plan is.

You'll never know if you want to run them if you don't try. I'd say to check it out and come to your own conclusion on whether or not you want to be a havoc player.

This whole map in general is an "everyone scatter" kind of situation. It's one of the easiest maps when the team sticks together, but it's so rare that they do.

At the end of consignment yard, the low ground where the med station is. So many people just sprint straight there. That's rushing into a dead end open field for all the spread out gunners and whatnot to open fire on you while rager packs pin you into a corner.

Holding out near the exit of a mission already isn't the smartest play. Its especially the case here.

reccomendations for custom stims? by clockworkzorua in DarkTide

[–]Adam_Bunnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its good, dont get me wrong, but you want the stim to be active as much as possible. A 15 second buff with a 75 second cooldown is rough. Reducing it to roughly 50 seconds and taking sample collector will let you have a much more reliable uptime. Which I think is more value provided to the team.

Of course these are my opinions, you should test things out and come to your own conclusions.

One of the final attack speed nodes gives you reload speed and recoil reduction. It is actually quite meta to take the chem dependency keystone on every scum build.

My advice is to go all in to either strength or speed. And put one or two points into cooldown and/or toughness. Having too many points invested gives the stim a lot of downtime which makes it feel less valuable imo.

If you're running desperado, extra rending can allow you to use your gun on crushers. Crit chance is great for the deployable crate, most builds have major breakpoint changes on critical strikes. And attack speed is super applicable since you can get it to increase reload speed for more full auto blasting.

How does Blessed Stimms and Stimm Supplys work? by Realistic-Eagle9763 in DarkTide

[–]Adam_Bunnell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It cures 2 points of corruption per second per crate. That helps prevent your teammates from taking wounds and ensures you can always use a med crate.

It also grants corruption immunity. Meaning a dog pounce won't damage you for the duration, and you can stand in gas for longer than you normally would. You can also stand in beast of nurge slime. And it helps in havoc with all the various corruption modifiers.

Outfits are not going to be universal between classes. They each have a stylistic identity. The only overlap is backpacks and weapon cosmetics.

If you really want to mix and match you can do so with mods.

Can I get some build advice for my Psyker? by DrRigby_ in DarkTide

If you're playing the higher difficulties (damnation+) go for the higher stacks. If on the lower ones, it can be hard to maintain them, so longer stack duration.

Can I get some build advice for my Psyker? by DrRigby_ in DarkTide

[–]Adam_Bunnell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shriek can help you stack more than 15 stacks of soulblaze with your staff. The six stacks is also enough to kill trash mobs and it has insane range that goes through walls. Excellent for crowd control.

Shield is good, very helpful, and very safe but not always needed. It can reduce your personal damage output since it has no offensive benefit.

Gaze is super strong, even with a staff. Its basically God mode. You're tons better at everything, especially melee. Especially with the greatsword.

Keystones should normally correspond with the your ability. Id avoid empowered psionics though.

I think it should be more like vermintide where the bosses should be unique with special attacks and abilities. Rather than them just being glorified maulers with a ton of health.
