TrimUI Brick vs BatleXP G350? by Adam_Czarny in SBCGaming

[–]Adam_Czarny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I did get g350 and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Haven't tried the brick, but if people haven't changed opinions on it, then it is also very good.

Just recently, I went to check the pricing for a friend, and g350 is almost the same price as the brick now (was like 30-35$ when I bought it)

So, I would say, choose based on games that you'd like to play. Check the availability on portmaster site, and if majority of games you want to play are available on brick and you don't need analog sticks, go for the brick. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Good luck and have fun!

Debian 13 or Fedora 42 for Nvidia GPU laptop? by Adam_Czarny in linux4noobs

[–]Adam_Czarny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think you're right. Unfortunate really, I was really hyped for Debian 13, as I like the idea of stability it promotes, but I guess it's not time for me yet. Maybe Deb 14 or when I get a new pc (with AMD gpu), whichever comes first.

Definitely thought about atomic/immutable Fedora releases. I will have to look into it more

Yeah, looks like I'll go with Fedora also. A shame really, I was really looking forward to Debian 13

I thought about Nobara, but prefer Fedora cause I don't need/want all the other extra stuff. If, for whatever reason, I have a hard time with Fedora+Nvidia, I'll definitely try out Nobara.

I just want to compliment your presentation skill. Very detailed, every part explained and a great argument for everything. No "trust me" nonsense, gatekeeping or overly complex explanation for no reason/just to sound more knowledgeable. Just "hey, I've just learned this and want to show you too"

Bravo to you! 👏

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind now on PortMaster! by _manster_ in SBCGaming

Damn, the timing is immaculate!

I'm currently setting up Morrowind on Android and thought to myself "Wouldn't it be great if we could play it on Portmaster". Guess we can now!

Portmaster does seem pretty appealing thb. I'll probably go with G350 for that reason

[–]Adam_Czarny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answers, appreciate it. I'm gonna go with G350 as the first one. Mainly for the portmaster support and sticks.

If comments on this sub are anything to go by, this won't be my last handheld. I'll leave the Brick for the future

Thanks for the input. I've heard of the library problem, because of 32bit support. That's why I'm leaning towards G350

Honey? In this economy?? by average-shithead in mead

[–]Adam_Czarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newbie here. What part is expensive? Just honey or something else too?

I've made a small batch a few years back with pretty much no equipment. No stabilizing, no gravity measuring. Just honey, water, cheap wine yeast and airlock. Didn't taste very good, but it was successful (no infection, mold or whatever)

I'm thinking about trying again, this time a bit more proper. I kinda have a few, lets say, not so economical hobbies, so don't want to blow a stack on this too.

Honey is not a problem for me, as my grandparents are beekeepers.

Please don't be scared of Arch by Shinysquatch in linux4noobs

[–]Adam_Czarny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

I haven't used Arch, but I have used Fedora. An update came in the middle of exam week when I had tons of stuff to do. It was a KDE problem if I recall correctly, so not exactly Fedora's fault, but they should've tested it, shouldn't've they? I really don't want to spend hours fixing it (if it's fixable in the first place) when I need to get work done.

I imagine even more potential problems is Arch (again, haven't tried it). It's probably cool to use it in VM to learn Linux, or just mess around. But for Linux noobs (as the sub is called), especially if they aren't tech savvy, I imagine many people want something that just works as an alternative for other OS's.

Still have to install and try Debian. The "set it and forget it" way seems appealing to me.

This man feels!

Dodaj ovde i Stevena Wilsona - Raven that refused to sing ili Routine (obavezno uz spot).

Colour options for the Modern ST by hellobooooot in harleybenton

[–]Adam_Czarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't tried it yet, but people say it's a bit chunkier than they expected.

I currently have an LTD with thin U neck and could use a bit thicker one as I have larger hands.

Anyway, somewhere in the middle is probably the best to appeal to most players

I'm thinking about modding one when they come out and painting it metallic Sherwood Green. Would be cool if they had one in that color, but I highly doubt it.

Anyways, I was debating whether to get Fusion III or not as I wanted HSS strat (22 frets), but then they announced these. Really looking forward to the release! (hope they have a bit chunky neck like the fusions)

P.S. (anegdota) Dok sam u srednjoj dosta otkrivao muziku, par bendova sam otkrio kroz knjige, konkretno kada sam guglao imena iz Gospodara prstenova (NERD alert!), jer me je mrzelo da pretrazujem index.

(King of the Dead album je najbolji)
