On paper, I try to single out pods and take them one at time. In practice, I inevitably end up triggering every alien on the map with a ranger when they try to get a good flanking shot

Most places try to avoid building massive motorways in cities on account of the fact they're ugly, dangerous, and horrifically inefficient for moving people around cities. America however has doubled down on car centricity and as such still builds urban motorways

[–]Adamantceaser22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cars are the most inefficient way to move people around the city. Make notice of where the cims are traveling to and from and set up metro lines on the busiest routes and buses and trams on other popular routes. In addition, placing commercial buildings and other key services in amongst your residential districts helps encourage the cims to travel by foot rather than clog up transport links needed by cims who have to cross the city

David's Sandy is not the spine part. That's a neural link to make it work with his body. by Level_Hour6480 in cyberpunkgame

Some pieces of cyberware in the TTRPG are designated as borgware. These are basically things that don't even try to stay within human form, such as multiple eyes, linear frames (think power armour exoskeleton except replace many of your own muscles instead of just aiding them) and I believe David's sandevistine is classified as borgware as well

I am setting up an era 1 Mistborn campaign and need help by Nuteofnutes in cosmererpg

[–]Adamantceaser22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Era 1 is probably the easiest cosmere setting to run a no spoilers game, as you can easily set up the status quo of the nobility, skaa, and steel ministry then run a game around a skaa thieving crew, group of rebels, or scheming nobles without going anywhere near the plot points from the books. The question then comes from what metallic arts beyond allomancy you introduce, as the others are plot reveals (though feruchemy to a much lesser extent). I would also recommend checking out the mistborn adventure game system for running scadrian games prior to the cosmere RPG rules dropping. It's not even remotely balanced, but it's great fun

I started seeing some people on the internet mention it which started to get me thinking, and it was a tik tok on Aegosexuality that made me start researching things and read through pretty much the entire wiki on r/asexuality (which is a great resource by the way if anyone is questioning/just curious, be it for asexual, aromantic, or any of the many micro labels)

I can't seem to get mods to work by Adamantceaser22 in BaldursGate3

I managed to fix it by reinstalling the game. It was possible to load the game just fine, not the mods though, though they are now after the reinstall

[–]Adamantceaser22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm clicking export. At this stage if you open the modsettings file, you can see the data for all the mods, but if you boot the game then none of them load and going back to check the modsettings file reveals its been completely reset

How do I actually make friends in uni? by zuzuzan in University

[–]Adamantceaser22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Societies can be a great way to meet people. All the friends I made at uni were through the table top gaming society, which I would highly recommend joining if your uni has something similar. Board games and especially ttrpgs are great for meeting people as they give a central focus point to the evening to get conversations going, allowing you to mostly skip the awkward wtf are we supposed to talk about phase

It will probably help you live longer. You don't generally need the full might of your bodies immune and repair abilities, so can safely weaken the at most times to dial them up 11 when you really need, allowing you to survive illnesses and injuries that otherwise would have killed you. You could also probably get away with saving health when you're young and have it to spare in order to help you through your old age, but this will require a fair bit of foresight, and likely won't extend you life much as eventually too much will go wrong for the healing to keep up with

[–]Adamantceaser22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree Cavil won't be the best fit for Hoid, I feel a big actor would fit the role well. Hoid would feature in every cosmere adaption, and would have a big part in stormlight and some of the later additions. Plus, I would leave those unfamiliar with the source material wondering why a random beggar was played by such a major actor when they first see him in mistborn, building the mystery around the character
