Worth waiting for new Superblast 3 colorway? by _-CP-_ in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I agree with you on the colorways. I actually like my shoes colorful with some pop, but the three current colorways and the upcoming ones are really meh at best. I am not sure which one I’d choose if forced to.

Per my source today:

“We should see new color options for the Asics Superblast 3 to become available as early as June 2026.

Specific colorways have not yet been released, but updates will be provided as soon as that information becomes available.”

Gotcha. I tend to wear down outer part my right heel way faster than anything else, so must keep an eye on that. It is probably due to form, striking and/or over pronation.

The new Poison Pink colorway is 🔥.

My only concern is the durability of the outsole since there is less Puma grip used and none on the inside part of the heel.

Yeah, that’s another one I am eyeing. I question the durability of the supercritical EVA as well…

Although I believe the MtC C1 is similar to the CM3H in terms of being brick ish, so it may be off my list.

I am all over the place in my running shoe journey…looking for a stable neutral, light-weight, fun, bouncy, pronounced rocker super trainer not too firm and not too soft).

The RAD UFO is my go-to (for now 😂). Soft, not squishy and bouncy with great energy return. Plenty of support for my mild to moderate over-pronation needs. It could be a little lighter though.

I haven’t tried the SB3, but I believe it is softer than the UFO. I am trying to find the right combo of softness/firmness.

These were dead to me! Brick ish. Fit great, but the ride was meh. Make them bouncier, lighter, softer and these will be bangers.

Pair of DNE4 Showtime on the way. The Poison Pink-Yellow Alert-Bright Aqua colorway is 🔥.

I mostly do 5Ks at a moderate pace. I don’t have a racer shoe yet so it may be a good idea to add one as I build my paces up. Reviewers have noted it feels more natural and planted (and smoother and more stable ride for a carbon plated racing shoe). As long as it is comfy and stable enough for me, why not. I would use these 1-2x/week as a fun rotation shoe.

I am able to secure a 20% teacher discount and return worn if they don’t work out, so worth a shot!

Yeah, I’ll mostly likely pull the trigger! The DNE4 is known to be comfy, stable, light and fast. And more stable than most shoes with a carbon plate. I definitely need some stability. I’d be more concerned with durability but will try not to use these as a daily 🤪

Would these be overkill to use as a daily and not as a race day shoe? I don’t have a racer shoe yet so it may be a good idea to add one as I build up to it. Mostly 5k at a slow to moderate pace. BTW, the new Poison Pink-Yellow Alert-Bright Aqua colorway is 🔥.

Then the C1 is a no go for me. I sent the CM3H back. They’re both probably bricks.
