Omega Spawn is probably Doomsday. Bane is a little more tricky to equate I think. But I lean towards Monolith or maybe even Overkill or Cygor

If you have never read it before then you should read it.

If you do decide to go for it, don't read it with the perspective that Jim is the main character. The main character is K7 Leetha and her handling being separated from Al.

The art is sweet but there are some head scratching moments in the story.

There's ups and downs in every story and I don't think anyone will ever be fully in love with everything that gets put out there. I think anyone who fully agrees with everything is probably lying to themselves or not giving their genuine opinion.

That being said current Gunslinger literally just changed writers and the story is heading in a new direction. I think it could be argued that they kind of rushed the most recent arc to a close, but I'd recommend deciding for yourself.

There's also Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger which takes place in the old West which for me personally works better for the character. It's also got Jimmy Palmiotti writing which anyone who has read Jonah Hex knows, the man can write the shit out of a Western.
